It has long started to notice that periodically from the screen (standard launcher) application icons disappear. For example, I had 4 screens densely (without holes) filled with applications (specially arranged as I needed).
After a while I looked at several pages, holes appeared, and I didn’t delete any applications myself. Plus there was a 5th page and there are a couple of icons.

What applications "were in holes" I can not say for sure, but today, for example, Google+ has disappeared. And in the settings in the list of applications, it is, it starts and works, but nowhere on the screens there are no icons.

What could it be and how to deal with it?

As far as I remember on my other phone, this situation was connected with transferring some applications to the memory card. There they disappear. It seems that some of the developers on Google Play want to have the application in the phone’s memory forcibly. It was saved by the fact that I had Nova Launcher and I just restored the desktop from a backup.

I clearly have a different situation because the flash drive is small and it is almost completely crammed with music and caches of a couple of big games, then I put almost all applications on the phone (there is more memory than on a flash drive).

I've thought that this is somehow related to the auto-update of applications from Google Play. I do not know how this process occurs “physically”, but it is possible that when updating the application, it is first deleted and then reinstalled ... Maybe something is happening here?

But the applications themselves, if they are found through Settings ->Applications run perfectly normal and work. Could this be a pure launcher problem? I am satisfied with the standard in principle, can he somehow reset the cache or something similar to do so that he updates the list of applications? Even if I then have to re-arrange them again ...
