Preliminary preparation.

To complete this tutorial, you need to know something. So all that is needed will be mentioned below..

• You must determine the product code that corresponds to your Lumia device.
  
• You must downloadthisarchive.
  
• You must have a Lumia device running Windows Phone 8 or higher.
  
• You must have a computer with a Windows 7 operating system or higher.
  

Unpacking the archive.

You must unzip the archive, with software designed for this tutorial. Once you have unpacked it, you will have access to a folder containing:

• Driver folder
  
• NaviFirm folder
  
• WPID folder

Driver installation.

In order for the computer to detect your Lumia device, you need to install a driver.

1. The driver that we will install is not digitally signed. It is necessary to carry out a manipulation, which aims to temporarily disable driver signature verification. For this you need:
   • If your computer is equipped with Windows 7, runthistutorial;

Download firmware.

Using the NaviFirm + software

NaviFirm + software is used to access Microsoft servers. In the free version, this software allows you to download only the latest firmware version corresponding to the product code (Product Code).

1. Navigate to the directory .. \ Lumia Flash_Tool \ NaviFirm + and run NaviFirmPlus.exe
   
2. The NaviFirm + window appears, as well as the account window. For this free account lesson is more than enough, just click on the Cancel button if you do not have a paid account.
   
3. Enter the product code, and then press the Enter key on the keyboard. Click on the Unmark All button and select only the file with the .ffu extension.
   
4. Click the Download button.
   
5. Thus, the .ffu file that you selected will gradually load.
   
6. Wait for the download to complete, the path to the .ffu file should be completely in green. If it was not loaded correctly, it will be red. If this happens, just repeat the download.

Starting the device in FFU mode

To continue this tutorial, you must load the Lumia device into the Microsoft FFU boot mode. To do this, follow these five steps, as indicated below:

1. Turn off your Lumia device.
   
2. Press and hold the power button.
   
3. When your Lumia device starts up, the screen will display the Microsoft or Nokia logo. At this point, release the power button, and then press and hold the volume button up. This step should be done quickly.
   
4. You should have a gear and lightning.
   
5. Connect your Lumia device to your computer.

Device firmware

Began the most important part of this tutorial. You will use Windows Phone Image Designer to flash your Lumia device.

1. Log into .. \ Lumia_Flash_Tools \ WPID and launch Start.bat
   
2. The WPID window will appear, as well as two packet windows (do not close them, otherwise it will close the program). Select Flash a Windows Phone onto your phone and click on the Next button.
   
3. You have already connected a Lumia device in FFU mode, the software should define it as x.MSMx.xxx where x are variables according to the connected Lumia device. If your Lumia device is not automatically detected by the software, you can click the update button. Then click on the Change button.
   
4. The firmware file selection window will appear. Go to .. \ Lumia_Flash_Tools \ NaviFirm + \ Fw \ 059xxxx, select the firmware file you just downloaded and click Open.
   
5. Click on the Flash button and wait until the firmware is installed.
   
6. The device automatically reboots and the Windows Phone first setup window loads.
