Installing the official update from the ASUS website

1. Download the firmware.
2. Connect the phone to the PC, via USB cable, in MTP mode.
3. Copy the previously downloaded archive into the internal memory of the phone.
4. Disconnect the phone from the PC, and a notification about the found update file will appear (if not, restart the phone)
5. Click on the notification, agree to install the update.
6.We are waiting for the update to install. In doing so, you will see a screen with a green robot and a progress bar. The process takes about 4-7 minutes.
7. Next "first" download (10 - 20 min).

updated, from 4.5.1 to 5.4.2, just threw the file into the root, threw out the offer to update, after rebooting 25 minutes updated, if something was “cut out” from the firmware earlier, the update ended with an error, now the update went without plugging, returning back all my favorite gadgets from google

Full firmware (not an OTA update, but a complete one: at 950 mb approximately in weight) is sewn onto off-firmware in any state.
If I did not mess up ...

If there was a root and standard applications removed, then there may be an error when updating from a flash drive, the most normal way to flash Raw 4.3.4 and then sew any version

Updated today to 5.4.2 from 5.3.5. Now I have such a glitch as the impossibility of charging the phone. When glued charging, the phone just keeps its level and that's it. At consumption, the charge decreases. Tell me when turning off the body to connect with a cable on it only a battery with a lightning appears and that's it? And then the phone is a daughter, but I do not remember something there is an indication of charge there or not in the off state. Did a reset after the firmware did not help :(

And almost certainly it will not arrive, I kind of read somewhere that OTA from 4.4 to 5.0 is not sent due to its larger size, update manually if you want.
