Here I was the same disappointment. At first I thought whether this was a marriage, or a problem with the firmware (it even updated it). I climbed in the camera settings, set the resolution to 13MP. On the advice of tech support HTC reset all settings to factory settings. Nothing helped.
I bought this unit in Mvideo.
In the store I checked both cameras - it seems to work well.
I came home, started to photograph everything. Compare with photos taken by Lenovo P780, where the camera is at 8MP.
As a result, the quality turned out to be the same or even worse (lower definition).
I will even attach masterfully superimposed pictures with the Lenovo P780 (left) and HTC Desire 626G Dual Sim on the right. HTC makes a mess on the carpet, although the grain is smaller. Lenovo has a clearer mat. If desired, the grain can be removed and any third-party prog, but in order to make a looser qualitatively clear, we must already apply more tricky filters.
So I ask the rest to share their experiences using the main camera of this unit. To get an exact answer to the question "is it a bug or feature".

This happens with me, when you press the spacebar on the keyboard, it is right next to the home button, when you press the space bar to the bottom, you hit the home button and it translates you to the main screen. I'm already used to pressing the space bar at the top!
