Not worth it.
For one simple reason. Since in Asia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, cellular networks are built on a slightly different principle than in Europe and Russia. In short - China, Hong Kong, Taiwan - base stations operate at lower capacities, but the number of towers per unit area is greater.
This means that the power required to transmit a signal from the device requires less.

In Russia and Europe, the number of base stations per unit area is less, respectively - the signal power from the phone needs more. For example, the SAR emission level of mobile phones is an indicator that characterizes the maximum magnitude of electromagnetic radiation of various mobile phone models. Asian SAR devices are lower, for example, the SAR level for the HTC M8 for Asian countries is about 0.373 w / kg 10g (Asian firmware), and for HTC M8 for Europe and Russia, the radiation is about 0.536 w / kg 10g.

This means that devices made for China and tuned to a lower signal power, in places with weak coverage, will transmit a signal slightly worse than devices that have firmware for Russia and Europe. When transmitting a voice, the device for China will more often gurgle, checked.
If voice transmission is not very important - you can take it, an excellent device, however, if the need arises for repair - it will be problematic to repair in Russia - there are usually no spare parts for such devices in service centers.

Compared to the E8, it is a shovel. Display quality - very much. The camera is better than on my old E8. Slots for a SIM card and a SD card are hidden from the side under the flip cover. Sticking a SIM card was better at e8, then you first need to pull the cradle out of the slot, stick the sim card into it, then stick the whole sandwich into the phone.
I can't say anything on the benchmark yet ... everything I wrote is first impressions. Now the task is to stick the Google Market into the phone.
