P.S. Added to the above laid out boot.img (the latest stock firmware) support for a folder with init.d scripts. Zip (with the init.d folder) set via TWRP without wipes. For the full functionality of the init.d folder, you need busybox. Busybox is also installed via TWRP. The substitution is not touched, the init.d folder functions, verified.
