There are BT gamers, like consoles, which replace it not so much, how many are simply supported (or not) by games. In some cases it is more convenient than the original controller, in some - not.

Well, it means that there are no important components in this firmware besides those 8 files. Check with the creator of custom.

In this regard, the question is, I am one such person who, after the latest updates, cannot run Oculus Home on the new phone. I have it installed on the same phone S8 950F, there are all sorts of Oculus kaifushki that I like. But on the next phone, the S8 950U (T-Mobile) does not work, it updates the Samsung Gear VR and starts with it, with all its poor applications, and throws it into it, for example, by temperature.
Maybe there is some way to return everything as it was before, to make the default Oculus shell, or is it part of the Samsung strategy to cut the Oculus as an app store, and the shell, respectively.
I tried to transfer data from the old phone, on which the Oculus Gear VR is launched, to a new one, so all applications were transferred, but Oculus was not. And in the Playmarket, it is useless to go accordingly, since there is no Oculus Gear VR there but simply Oculus.
apk also downloaded, with apkmirror, is installed, but the shortcut does not appear. In general, the question is, for those who recently put everything from scratch, you have Oculus Home as a shell and a store and I have to try to do something else or is it all the same for everyone ?. And yes, all this is on Android 9.0 Pie.

Update: I'm in China now. Tried and through VPN and so. I recommend everyone to find the Youku VR app. If it works in your area, then you will have access to a huge library of 360 videos and 3D movies.

Most likely, Oculus Home does not have official support for the 950U (T-Mobile) model. Try installing the firmware from model 950F on this device (if it is possible in principle).
