I can’t cope with the following problem in any way - I try to set up recording from an ip camera (RVI ip33V) on a WD network drive connected to a ASUS RT-N 66W router.
My steps:
1. Connect the network drive, share the / tmp / mnt / Elements folders on it and enable ftp on the router, create an ipcam account with read and write permissions - router ip 192.168.1.1
2. The disk is visible on the network and I can upload files from a computer that is connected to this network.
3. On the camera, I specify in the FTP archiving settings the video server 192.168.1.1, port (empty), ipcam login and ipcam password, path to save the files / tmp / mnt / Elements
The result is that a record is not created on the network storage .......
I can record from a camera to a networked computer, though I didn’t do it via an FTP server, but by directly indicating the file storage folder.
What could be the problem?
Thanks in advance to those who responded !!!

Specify the ftp server port (21) in the settings. Is the ipcam login and password set on the ftp server of the router? In general, my cameras were recorded on n66 via ftp, though I have dlink cameras.

I set up recording from an ip camera to a network drive and a new task arose - How to make video that is written to a network drive connected to a router and located on the same local network be automatically copied to a network drive connected to another router's local network? ip addresses of local networks need both static and white? What are the considerations on this?

Why duplicate them in case the carrier is stolen? Then it makes sense to write to a remote server.

Duplicate so that you can look at the archive (can destroy the drive on the object). I think the online video will slow down. Remote server just think to do at home.

I'm not sure that it will be possible to simultaneously write to two ftp servers. Perhaps it makes sense to write only to a remote server. There is an option to manually fold from the carrier to the remote media via ftp, or write a script (depending on the router, firmware, and skills).

In general, it turned out so far to do the following:
Ip camera + Router + usb modem drops the video on Aicloud - a cloud service with free 5GB, and from the cloud I upload to myself.
Cons - 5 GB clogged in a day or two, constantly uncomfortable to clean.
If I buy a white IP on my LTE modem connected to the router - can I get access to it directly from the Internet? How to configure such access?

Today sent from China KaiCong SIP1215. This is my first experience withhttp://www.aliexpress.com/Impressions of the camera are not unambiguous. But in general, taking into account the price (1 268.39 rubles) - I like it. Review, I will try to lay out later.

In comparison withXiaomi Yi Smart Wifi Cam Device:
Pros:
More flexible camera positioning (ball bearing)
The correct operation of the clock (normal setting of time zones)
There is an e-mail
Have night vision
Have ethernet
Easy setup via web interface possible via ethernet
Simple manual adjustment of the lens (twisted, works)
Quite fancy, but quite understandable web interface with a lot of settings
Three LED status indicators are located behind the camera, which does not attract too much attention.

There is an http with a password (it is possible to download files using wget)
rtsp with a password (respectively, the ability to work with ivideon server)
onvif (did not try)
Adjusting the sensitivity of the motion sensor allows you to turn on the recording even when a person is driving on the street (in my case, shooting through the first floor window)
Record Schedule (try)

Minuses:
Outdated hi3510 processor
Larger dimensions
Viewing angle less (not much)
The picture is less clear (Sony optics is better, or something else)
When focusing (if I'm not mistaken), a click is heard, apparently a mechanical light filter ...
I did not find a working telnet or ssh, but they are not needed, since everything else works out of the box.

There is an overviewhere
Another review of similar equipmenthere

Findings:
Very good, multifunctional model for your money.

Try alternative clients, for example TinyCam Monitor

This program has worked as it should. By the way, on the computer I also set up I saw in YouTube:
IP camera Suneyes SP-HM01WP
1) We connect the camera to the router using the bundled patchcord.
2) Go to the settings of the router, looking for exactly what IP he gave the camera. Each brand is different, most often in the DHCP section there is a History list.
3) We tear off Internet Explorer 7 or newer, other browsers will not work. In the address bar, we write the IP cameras that you learned following paragraph 2. Note, if you simply do not open by IP address, put the following at the end of the address: 81. The camera uses the 81st port. for example 192.168.1.222:81 (222 in this case, I wrote from the bald)
4) If everything is done correctly, the start page will appear, when you first log in, please note that you need to install an additional OCX Download plugin, a link to download it at the bottom of the start page.
5) After downloading and installing the plug-in, opens the camera page again and select the first option livestream mode (for Internet Explorer).
Well, then you can already and add. setting to carry out.

I have such a question, but without connecting to the router with a paccord corpus, will the camera transmit video simply via Wi-Fi?
