The game is a continuation of Borderlands 2. The player will manage two different heroes: Fiona - a fraud, and Reese - a programmer of the Hyperion company, who are found in the second part when they realize the consequences on the planet Pandora after the defeat of Handsome Jack. The story will show the general events of both characters in terms of each of them. In addition, each of them has its own special abilities.
