I wrote, when there are several networks, then problems begin (at least on XP):
I’m on XP and fighting, but I think it’s not about the OS, but the conflict of the LAN-3G Modem-Whistle, how to tie them all together so that someone who knows chews.
You wrote that you will use:

on XP + ordinary cable Internet
and now it’s kind of like other conditions:

Perhaps problems ... or our network at work
With "ordinary cable Internet" everything turns out without problems. That's when several networks (as I have at work, in my case, 1.) "Local network of the enterprise" +2.) "Local network of the 3G Modem" +3.) "Wireless WiFi whistle") then the problems begin:
Detailed description of the problem
Data:
1 local area network 1- which combines several computers. In it my IP is 172.16.0.53; Subnet Mask - 255.255.0.0; The main gateway is nothing; DNS servers - 172.16.7.19, 172.16.7.19; WINS server - 172.16.0.200
2 local area network 2- which creates a 3G-Modem (huawei e303). My IP is 192.168.1.100 in it; Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0; The main gateway - 198.168.1.1; DHCP server - 192.168.1.1; DNS servers - 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.1; WINS server - nothing
3 wirelesscreated by the WiFI whistle "Xiaomi Portable USB Mini WiFi". There are different data in it, I don’t understand what it depends on:
IP address
ipconfig command shows 192.168.123.1, but when I look at the TCP / IP properties, the address is 172.16.0.1. But! .. It happens that in the TCP / IP properties this address changes to an address - 192.168.123.1, sometimes to an address - 10.0.2.11. At the same time (unsure, but in my opinion) the ipconfig command shows some other IP, one of three (192.168.123.1, 172.16.0.1, 10.0.2.11)
Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0
Main gate
Usually empty, but somehow, after the next reboot, if you look at the details of the network connection in detail, it gives out - 10.0.2.2
DNS server
Again, usually empty, but somehow, after the next reboot, if you look in detail at the details of the network connection, it gives - 192.168.1.1
4 as I wrote in the first paragraph, my computer is on the local network and a proxy server is installed on it, which distributes the Internet received through the 3G Modem (see paragraph 2)
Now, if you use this whistle-WiFi, then everything works randomly: it happens that the Internet immediately disappears on the computers that receive it from my computer; it happens that everything, everyone works as it should for about 15 minutes, it takes longer, maybe 2 hours; it happens that everything works, but after some time the Internet stops working on devices that receive it via WiFi; generally somehow randomly, without any system.
PS
- I was advised to disable the DHCP server on the 3G Modem, but I need a “face”, but I did not find it for the huawei e303, and in the standard one, the network setting is “automatically” and frozen (and the DHCP server parameter not there).
- Maybe some gateways are needed?
- Maybe something with a metric?
- Maybe a bridge?
I would be grateful if someone could tell me a solution, how to achieve stability of these three networks at the same time?
I did not find a solution when working in the conditions of three networks on XP.
