After 1.5 weeks of use, I can conclude that autonomy has significantly improved compared to 3m laptop

Dear V-S-K, please post the screenshots of battery usage statistics.

Apparently this:

If you can still screen screen to find out how many hours he worked.

The possibility of note 4 for long-term work in black and white especially attracts.

In a simple black and white mode, there is no battery saving compared to the color one, because the white background (the most stinging mode) as it was white remains. Specially tested on my note 3, putting this mode through xposed. Reading comfort is also less than in normal color mode. Real economy is felt only if you turn on the mode of extreme energy saving, which in turn is very limited in functionality.

There is a mode in which the screen becomes completely "black and white"

This setting has been added in power saving mode.

How funny that happened.
I switched the phone to work mode, made a screen, and it is colored)
An interesting option :)

already discussed this "problem"

Ie, the color deactivation occurs at the level of the color information transfer immediately when the image is displayed on the screen.
I thought he was so cunning, and the system itself "discolored" the programs, etc. =)

not a fact .. just have to dig, how many screen_buffers work in the system and see their contents. After that, it will be possible to make an almost unambiguous conclusion about how the B & W mode works. While 95% sure that mDNIe modes are used

And yet, what about his autonomy? Let's say - 4 hours reading; Internet is always on - Skype, whotsApp, news program, a couple of widgets, maybe an hour of browsing; one and a half hours of cinema, a dozen sms, a couple of hours of talking, two hours of a text editor, working with notes. Every evening on exercises? Or is it possible to stretch for two days? Or even do not make it to the evening?

Rep: (426)
* larett,
If you use it fully (sobsno, for what it was created), then every evening (as I do with my eNotom younger) to exercise! This is already on the machine! And, in the coming years, nothing autonomous will come up. 95% sure!

It seems to be not bad, but confused by the rather fast discharge in the standby mode, here is the last shelf - approximately 5% per night

At a point, exactly 5% was spent overnight. Three mailboxes, Skype, VibER and telegrams constantly in the background. Plus a bucket and a samsung with its buns.

So which processor will less quickly have a battery? 8 or 4 cores.

So far, it seems that Snapdragon (4 cores) saves the battery better. But no one has yet made direct comparisons of the Exynos vs Snapdragon autonomy.

Rep: (36)
Murtazin somewhere wrote that in standby mode, the Snapdragon eats less battery, and Exynos under load. Ie, the energy efficiency of a processor will depend solely on your model of using the device and on the software that you drive.
