Hello dear forum users will be interested in the idea of replacing Windows instead of Android with ASUS MEMO PAD 7 (me178cx)

Fix UEFI on ASUS MEMO PAD 7 (me176cx)

Prots Intel Atom Z3745

7th generation Intel HD Graphics video

Our person from the topic dedicated to ASUS Memo pad 7 (me176cx) did the instructions for running a test Windows

1.Come herehttp://rutracker.org/f...iewtopic.php?t=4684460
2. download WinPE5_TechAdmin_UEFI distribution
3.c using UltraISO make a bootable flash drive image TechAdminPE_UEFI.iso
4.Insert this miracle flash drive into the hub (always with external power)
5.Insert the radio transceiver transceiver (as I did) or the usb cord of the keyboard (I did not try, but it should work)
6.__________________________________________________________________________

1. Press the Power of the tablet, as soon as the screen lights up, release the button and press the volume rocker to turn it down.
We fall into the loader.
2. With the standard method we enter the stock recovery (by pressing the turn and hold and add the volume rocker (press and release abruptly) while not letting go.
3. On the clave, press and hold F2
4. Choose reboot to bootloader
5. On the keyboard, press ENTER
go to UEFI releases F2.
___________________________________________________________________________

We put the boot from the flash drive in the first place. Next F4 (save with exit)
7. The boot manager menu appears, choose winx64 (winx32 is not listed because it is not supported by our UEFI)
8. Axis loading ... pops up a request to select where to install — select the last item or simply close this menu by clicking on the cross in the upper right corner of this menu
9. Windows desktop appears and pops up a query where to install drivers and so on ... ignore all requests and click the shortcut my computer — there are a lot of 10 pieces of disks, so the last one in the list is the internal memory (under the letter P) of our tablet — its size , it seems about 11.3 GB (I don’t remember exactly, because I am writing from memory). So it needs to be formatted (with the right mouse button, the format request will appear) in FAT 32. All this is necessary so that at least one is available in Windows disk to allocate memory for the paging file.
9. Next, with the standard method, we put the paging file — I set the Windows option — it selected something about 900 MB by itself ...
10.All-you have almost full-fledged Windows, but without network and other drivers, for the installation of which the Windows prompt at the beginning, but the installation of which is impossible BEFORE installing the paging file.
11. That it was possible to test: AIDA 64, Total Commander turned on ... Then I did not experiment, the driver installation request was no longer ...
12. It was already late night, I think I will continue the next day, I reboot the tablet, and here the most interesting and unpleasant !!!
13. After the reboot, the tablet produces the following: to load the android, enter the password !!! LLC ... !!! I enter the digital number from the bald - it writes your number is correct, but it is not a valid one and below is a reset request to the factory ones.
14. After rebooting, you have a clean android :)

P.S. Everything that you do, as it is, at your own peril and risk, and I do not bear responsibility !!! And yet, in no case, format those small disks in Windows — these are the android system partitions (I myself had the desire to format and merge everything In one thing, the benefit in this assembly is the ability to load the disk director) and try to put the Windows fully into the memory of the tablet, but 99% will get a brick.

Also in UEFI, a sample was found where you can select the Windows boot status

Literally two posts before jumped about the experiments

Well, these are experiments! Well, he asked, what's next? Where are the results? I understand, few people want to take risks! Damn, my hands itch, but the FIFTH tablet to buy! ....... I do not know!

* Olegaslav,
The experiment should be carried out only when you are sure that it will turn on after all your manipulations. What is the point if it does not turn on? And where to put it then? Throw out?

* ottiwell,
If you are 100% sure that it will turn on, this is no longer an experiment, but an exact, well-thought-out calculation! But the point is, to experiment, it will not turn on, it means you need to find the cause and error, and continue to experiment! To polymetize and wait for a ready-made solution, so you can not wait! And nothing needs to be thrown out, any device can be raised from any state (if everything is fine with hardware), at worst, with a programmer!

Oh, one process is not enough so that 90% of the equipment converges according to ()
Then minimal changes to the BIOS solve the problem.

Here I look at the HDA like we UEFI put such that we could not install what they do not want.

Answer mvrana

I have not used any special software. I think this is a ridiculous accident. The tablet was launched lollipop, rooted, and with an installation installation. I had a lollipop memory leak module installed, and the true silent module has just been installed. I rebooted, and got the BIOS screen.

I used to play with aparted and Roesoft RAM Extender too, but I’m pretty sure that I only touched my SD card with those.

Unfortunately, I would like to help more.

I didn't use any special software. I believe it was a freak accident. The tablet was running lollipop, rooted, and with xposed installed. I had the memory module leak module installed, and had just installed the True Silent module. I rebooted, and got the bios screen.

I’ve also been playing with the Ram Expander and I’m fairly confident.

It is determined by the mouse and that is only not determined but late :( Apparently the USB driver is not in UEFI but in androide that late

3G 4G modem is not detected: (but it does not matter to us

And I am glad that in the BIOS the mouse is visible in the photo (if it is of course not worth it in the down and there is a screen keyboard)

In uefi, there should definitely be support for clavs and mice!
This is me to the fact that the driver is not in the adroid but in uefi!

Not yet

There was Xposed on with a function on the Xposed power button on the memory.

It rebooted and crashed into the BIOS.

And as I understand it, is it in this mode all the time? Did they turn it off (tablet) or are they afraid that after a reboot, they will no longer get into the BIOS?
