I want to take this to read technical literature - PDF with charts and tables.
I myself took it with an eye to it, but the screen is still small, that would be 10 inches.

In general, the impressions are not very good - assembling figs, squeaks, crunching under pressure. Inhibited, although tolerable for the reading room. Sometimes crashes when turning PDF (DJVU) size>~ 20Mb.
The built-in backlight is not impressive, as it is not clear ... the letters blur, all the same, the external light bulb feels better.

I bought yesterday a Pocketbook 840 and a branded cover in the online store Pocketbook.

It is simply impossible to use:

- Absolutely buggy software. Constant fading, when the book stops responding to both the touch and the scroll keys. It is impossible to choose from the first time both small elements of the menu and words in the text, whatever is chosen, but not what is needed.
- Connector for charging is located in the upper right corner, under the plug. To charge the book in the cover, you must first release the upper right corner of the cover (!) And bend the cap.
- On the right of the book there are small holes and a retainer for some other cover, but I did not find such a cover on sale.
- Enough "zamylenny" screen
- Slow

I strongly recommend not to buy. Pocketbook companies should be ashamed of such a product at such a price.

Also bought this book in a coherent, ordered the cover separately in chipidip.

The screen is not clear and dark, creaks, the sensor stops working after falling asleep, you have to either reboot, or at the third exit from sleep mode, the sensor starts to work.

Hardware brightness control. Open code linux. But it lacks something that was achieved in previous readers. Alternative readers, embedding fonts, everything is standard. But! Adjusted for screen size and resolution.

A. There are two ways:
You can connect to the PC and delete all the contents of the folder / system / profiles / "Profile name" /state/cr3/.cache(/system/state/cr3/.cache if profiles are not used);
But it is better to download and install the script for cr3_cache_clean.app cache in / applications (for 3xx models), after that you can clear the cache at any time without connecting to a PC, just go to the "Applications" menu and run the script.
