Oh, this fucking update, it reached 75% on you too! I had to reset the system to factory settings, offensively, I just set up the system.
Well, I’ll survive, but the guys at Microsoft may be tormented by heartburn for a month, let me remember.

And about the update, it’s just DaemonTool that comes around with its driver. Or something like that, customized_to_myself: yes2:

No, I didn’t set the damon at all.

I put in the mSATA SSD connector on 256GB and installed Windows 8.1 Pro Update 1, now the computer is generally a speed monster! The system in general has never yet hung!

Rep: (385)
Guys! Can you help?
In general, I bought an SSD and installed it in the mSATA connector.
And then it turned out that it was impossible to boot from it, neither by pressing F9 nor by pressing F10 (BIOS setup>>boot priority).

Rep: (0)
people really need help!
set msata ssd to 128 gb, and put clean 8.1 there. also erased all data from hdd (to garbage, etc.). when you turn on the computer, by default, it boots with hdd on which there are no windows, and to boot from msata you have to use the F9 menu each time you turn it on. so, how to make loading go immediately with msata?

Rep: (385)
Before you start, I suggest reading this:tyk.
We solve the problem of booting from SSD, provided that there is an HDD.
In no case do not erase the HDD, do not touch it, otherwise you will lose the warranty on the laptop (as HP told me).
Installing the system on an SSD
  1. Open the cover and disconnect the HDD cable from the system board.
  2. Open BIOS and select Legacy Support in BOOT Options>>Enable
  3. Now insert the flash drive (when the beech is turned off).
  4. Turn on the beech.
  5. At startup, press F9 several times in a row and select a USB flash drive.
  6. Install the system in the usual way (just like on the HDD).
We are loaded with SSD
  1. We connect the HDD back.
  2. We are loaded into the native system preinstalled by the manufacturer.
  3. Now run the command line as administrator:
    Attached Image

  4. We write bcdedit and press enter:
    Attached Image

  5. We write bcdedit / copy {current} / d "MS W8" and we see that the record was copied successfully:
    Attached Image

  6. Now write bcdedit / set {7ce6095d-0017-11e4-8259-fcf8ae1ae1ee} device partition = D: and press ENTER.
  7. Now write bcdedit / set {7ce6095d-0017-11e4-8259-fcf8ae1ae1ee} osdevice partition = D: and press ENTER:
    Attached Image

  8. Reboot and try to boot from the SSD!
Remember!
D: is the letter of the SSD drive displayed on the computer.
{7ce6095d-0017-11e4-8259-fcf8ae1ae1ee} - a unique record, when copying the record {current} it will be different.
"MS W8" is the name of the entry, you can write, for example, "Windows 8.1.1"

P.S .: DO NOT pay for extra items in BCDEDIT.

Is it possible to install windows in uefi mode?
Provided that there is a bootable flash drive under uefi, and after installation, steal an empty hdd because There is more powerful hdd than native.
Is it possible?

Rep: (385)
* marat110,
I don’t know this for sure, I recorded the image on a USB flash drive through the Windows 7 USB / DVD Download Tool.
First you have to disconnect the SSD, install the system on the HDD, and then everything as I wrote above.

Rep: (385)
* marat110,
No, but here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNAhmuBjE-I

A new beta driver for the floppy disk has been released (the driver makes it possible to test half what DirectX 12 is).
P.S. DX 12 on kepler architecture is not fully supported.

* Mr-MEX,
Hello! Could you tell me, the fact is that there was a randomly made bootable SD card left, which was made using hp utilities (respectively, factory files in it). So, how to transfer these files to a normal flash drive of the same volume, which would then restore the system to ssd? or is it not real?

* Mr-MEX,
The issue was resolved by the acronym, but now another problem has arisen, the program does not want to restore to SSD, it requires a native one. How to fix?

* marat110,
Try to write to your own, and then make a duplicate (full) disk program from Acronis ...
One minus is that it is impossible to boot via the SSD without the HDD, and provided that the system is installed on the HDD and added to the Windows Boot Manager.

Help is needed! Urgently!

Well, then the system crashes with the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (igdkmd64.sys) error.

These errors occur on two systems, on Windows 8.1 (stock monolingual) and on Windows 8.1 Pro Update 1.
All drivers on two systems are updated to the latest versions.

all this is not convenient, it would be better to leave a clean system.
