I updated my firmware, put Xposed, but it does not work, although it worked on the previous firmware. Why so, if globally nothing has changed and the version of Android remains the same?

✔ Because Xposed began to conflict with this build of firmware. This is quite normal: the performance of Xposed is not tied to a specific type of firmware, and even two adjacent assemblies of the same firmware can vary greatly, which, respectively, can lead to incompatibility with Xposed (a typical example is MIUI and CyanogenMod firmware, different assemblies of which -differently interact with Xposed - the old ones work, and the new ones can clash hard). What then do? Try another Xposed (another version or build from another author), followof this instructionor roll back to the firmware build on which Xposed still worked.

I installed a completely different firmware X, I installed Xposed, but it does not work, although it worked on the previous firmware Y. Why is that?

✔ See above. On different firmware, the same build Xposed may work differently or not at all. This is an absolutely normal and natural phenomenon - firmwares differ even within different assemblies of the same firmware, not to mention the types of firmware (firmware based on drains, custom based on drains, global custom based on AOSP (like CyanogenMod) or original (like MIUI), Android custom forks (like Aliyun OS) - all of them are VERY different from each other with all the ensuing consequences).

Xposed does not work on my device, although I put the desired assembly, exactly as instructedand for others it works! I even tried to build another author - the same story! Why and what should I do?

✔ The framework may conflict with installed system mods (for example, decoration modifications) and some third-party programs. If Xposed doesn't work for you, and for other users of the same device on the same firmware it works, you can do this:
1) check the firmware version of your device, which version of Xposed is put on it (often put quite specific or privately modified for this particular device) and do not put additionalBusybox(on some firmwares it plays a role) or some mandatory kernel patch (likeGrorkmodfor some china phones);
2) make sure that you put Xposed correctly, according to the appropriate instructions;
3) be sure to try ALL solutions collected in paragraph 7 of this FAQ. Especially pay attention to paragraph 18 and the problem with the disabled file-deactivator. Often, various causes lead to its creation, in which case Xposed is deactivated. So if an error occurs in the logE / Xposed (): Found / data / data / de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/disabled, not loading Xposed , immediately go to the /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf folder, delete the disabled file from there, reboot the device, and the framework will work.
4) if this did not help, try an alternative way to install Xposed (if it is available for your device) - see p. 6e above.
5) if this did not help, reset to factory settings (wipe data / factory reset) or flashing, and put Xposed "clean" on the bare firmware. If Xposed really works on your firmware, it helps almost always;
6) if the installation “clean” did not help, try lowering the SELinux security mode (only relevant for Android 5+) - on some stock firmware this helps (putSELinuxModeChangerorSELinuxTogglerand translate SELinux into permissive mode).
If all of the above does not help, it means that Xposed is in conflict with your firmware - see p. 7d below. Send the Xposed developer log file (see below p. 21b) and wait for the Xposed update, change the firmware or forget about Xposed.

Doesn't want to work on my devicenot oneversion of Xposed, whatever I do! Why and what to do?

✔ See above. This is quite a common phenomenon: there are still firmware that does not work with Xposed, and it will always be so: it is impossible to adapt Xposed to all the variety of current devices and their fillings, which are often already very strongly modified. Therefore, the performance of Xposed is not guaranteed initially; then how lucky, and in this case you just had no luck. Therefore, if you tried all the proposed solutions, and the old Xposed assemblies, and assemblies from other authors, none of them worked, and other users of the same device and the same firmware also complain about non-working Xposed (i.e., you turned to of your device and they confirmed it to you there!), you only have 3 options: wait for the Xposed update (or create the Xposed mod for your device), change the firmware or refuse Xposed. However, if you have Android 4.0.3-4.4.4, you can still try the Xposed analogue - WSM Tools (see Section 2 FAQ above), but be prepared for the fact that this is unlikely to help if the framework is truly incompatible with your firmware.

Xposed worked fine, and thensuddenlystopped, and now the framework reports that it is installed but not active ("Xposed framework version ... is installed, but not active"). Rebooting / reinstalling / wipe caches do not help.

✔ Check your Xposed logs. Often, various reasons lead to the creation of a deactivator file; in this case, you will see an error in the log:

E / Xposed (): Found / data / data / de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/disabled, not loading Xposed .

Go to the folder/data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf , there you will see this deactivator file called disabled. Delete it, reboot the device, and the framework will work again.

On my Samsung, after installing Xposed, problems began with the private mode and the S-Health application, what should I do?

Use the module Wanam Xposed, XSecureStorageorthese fixes. If you have Android 5.1+, putXposed from wanam, v78.1 or higher- there is a problem with S-Health and private mode solved at the framework level, the installation of additional modules / fixes is not required.

After installing Xposed and some modules, some applications stop working (for example, games often do not start when Xposed is present and give the error "Security Alert (code: 2) [Xposed]". Can I somehow hide Xposed / modules from these apps?

✔ Sometimes you can. Try using modulesSudohide(hides the presence of Xposed.apk; it will not help if the search method for components Xposed is registered in the native code and the components of the framework are searched for in the system partition) /ANRC(bypasses the native root and Xposed check; try it if Sudohide did not help) /Zuper(similar to ANRC) /No Device Check(disables device check for compatibility and system changes) /Xposed blacklist(allows you to disable all Xposed modules for a specific application; relevant if an important application is not friendly with a specific module, but you need this module and you cannot simply remove it) + for some banking applications there are separate modules hiding Xposed - seeFAQ on modules, p. 40c.You can also try:
- deactivate Xposed while working with the necessary application (in Xposed Installer, switch the switch "Xposed state" to "off");
- “freeze” Xposed Installer while working with the desired application (using Titanium Backup, Lucky Patcher, 3C Toolbox and other utilities with the freeze option);
- make Xposed and modules system (see p. 7y below);
- change the installation folder Xposed;
- rename the Xposed folder to / data while working with the desired application (this can beautomate using scripts).
However, be prepared for the fact that all of these methods may not help: applications with good protection often recognize not only the files of the framework / modules themselves, but also the "traces" of their activity, and therefore cannot work while the frame / modules are installed in the system. In this case, you can only hide the presence of the framework.by installationNon-system Xposed for Magiskor by analyzing and editing the code of the target application(about this you can try to contactClub Mod APK), which is quite challenging and not always doable. Otherwise, you will have to delete the Xposed / modules while using the necessary application or just forget about it.
For questions about which way to hide Xposed is appropriate for a particular application, askin the subject of this application- Xposed detection methods vary by application.

On LG, after installing Xposed, the weather and smart cover system applications are falling, what should I do?

✔ Installing Xposed v84 or higher, where support for encrypted LG system applications has already been added (may not help on some firmwares), after installation, you must make a wipe cache and dalwick cache. Or disable these applications before installing Xposed (or after installing, for example,using ADB) and search for third-party alternatives. There are no other options.

After installing Xposed, on my device, Yandex applications (Yandex.Navigator, Yandex.Maps, Yandex.Transport, etc.) stop working normally, what should I do?

✔ This issue is relevant for Xposed v79-83, both official and alternate. assemblies. If she touched you and you need Yandex applications,roll back to xposed v78Update Xposed to v84 or higher.
In addition, it is almost always possible to simply hide Xposed from applications - read above p. 7z.
Also in rare cases, I-applications may conflict with the Lucky Patcher installed as a module. Make sure this is not your case; if your - do not put the patcher as a module, patch the system in the usual way.

On my device, after installing Xposed, they start to "fall" or glitch all / many / some of the existing applications. Why and what to do?

✔ The framework conflicts with your firmware or (if only some applications start to fail) with these applications. Try another Xposed build (older or from another author) or turn on the "don't change resources" option in the Xposed Installer settings (but this way you will lose the opportunity to use all modules that change the graphical firmware resources). If there are problems only with certain applications, you can try using the de-optimizer module for them.ARTDeoptimiser, but keep in mind that de-optimized applications will lag and have a stronger “eat” battery.
Other solutions to the problem: wait for the update Xposed, change the firmware, do not use those applications, or forget about Xposed.

After installing Xposed and modules, the system began to load longer after switching on - is this a bad symptom?

✔ No, on some firmware this happens. If many modules are installed, this is generally the norm.

After installing Xposed and the modules, the system began to lag and be buggy, it's impossible to work directly! What to do?

✔ The same as in other cases - to try another version of Xposed - the current one, obviously, conflicts with your firmware. Or try WSM Tools if you have Android 4.0.3-4.4 (especially important if your device is on an MTK processor). It is also known that interface lags can be caused by a modified version of Xposed Installer; if it is you, try to go to the official one.

After installing Xposed on the Huawei stock firmware (Emotion UI, EMUI), various problems start (glitches, lags and graphical interface artifacts, system services and applications crashes, etc.).

✔ This is an old story: EMUI was initially strongly modified and poorly friendly with the Xposed framework. Therefore, first of all, use the official Xposed or Xposed from wanam version 82 and higher - starting with this version, the framework received support for EMUI. But the presence of support does not cancel the likelihood of the framework conflict with the system engine, since this engine works like Xposed (glitches, lags, interface artifacts become the result of this conflict). In this case, there are four solutions to choose from: try to put the office. Xposed v86 and up orXposed v85.1 and up from wanamwhere Huawei engine support is already added / enable the option "do not change resources" / disable system themes engine (see below) / deodex firmware in Xposed settings. In the second case, any modules that change graphic resources will stop working, in the third, you will lose the stock themes, and in the fourth you will have to sacrifice some system applications / services - they do not tolerate forced deodexing. Decide for yourself what is more important to you. There are no other solutions (except for switching to another, more friendly firmware), this was confirmed by the developer Xposed himself.
How to disable the Huawei theme engine (relevant if after installation Xposed persistently remains inactive or interface glitches are observed): go to the / system folder, find build.prop file there, open it with any text editor and add the following lines:
ro.config.hwtheme = 0
ro.config.hw_theme = 0
After that, save the changes and restart the device.

After installing the framework / some new modules, each time the system boots, a long-term optimization of the applications (all or some) begins. Can I get rid of her somehow?

✔ You can: make a wipe cache and dalwick cache from recovery. If the optimization only affects some specific applications, check if they are patched by Lucky Patcher, and if so, remove the applied custom patches.

After installing the framework / some new modules, the device periodically reboots itself.

✔ The reason is the conflict of the firmware with the framework or some module. Deactivate the modules one by one and so look for the culprit. But first make sure that the cause of random reboots is really in Xposed and modules, and not in third-party applications, ineptly disabled services or any hardware problem (the "left" battery, dying battery, oxidized or depart contacts).

After the framework is installed / updated, errors start to occur, the system’s graphical interface ("com.android.systemui application is stopped") or other system applications and services ("com.android.phone process is stopped", etc.) crashes.

✔ The chosen version of the framework conflicts with your firmware. Try a different version of Xposed (from another author or radically different -non-system xposed), go back to an older one or change the firmware (if the firmware is coded, sometimes deodexing helps).

After installing the Xposed zip archive for Android 5+, my device goes into the bootlap. Is it possible, I will install only Xposed Installer 3.x.x.apk, as on older versions of Android?

✔ No, this archive is the framework itself. Xposed Installer 3.x.x.apk is only a Xposed shell, for working with modules

After installing Xposed, SafetyNet stops testing and Android Pay does not work.

✔ If system Xposed is installed, this is more than natural, and the only solution in this case is to deactivate or delete Xposed.
If the non-system Xposed for Magisk is installed, this is also natural, since the Magisk no longer knows how to hide Xposed, therefore installing any Xposed = problems with SafetyNet.
Can't be hidden by Magisk Hide:
Xposed (deactivate or uninstall). It doesn't matter if it's a systemless Magisk can't hide it.
For instructions on hiding Xposed from SafetyNet, see the profile topics.Android Pay does not start / Magisk(topic header ->mini FAQ ->Clause 4, sub-clause 3). Ask questions there too, here it is offtopic. It is worth noting in advance that since version 13, Magisk is categorically not friendly with Xposed and there are no ways to hide it, so to successfully verify SafetyNet Xposed will have to be deactivated or deleted.

Xposed is not friendly with my firmware and creates some unsolvable problems. How to return the firmware to its previous state?

✔ Delete Xposed, see below p. 12. If it suddenly did not help, restore the system nandroid backup, made before installing Xposed. If you did not backup - flash the device.
Before deleting Xposed, make sure that the problems are really created by the framework, and not by related utilities (for example, programs for getting root-rights) or any other third-party applications. Remember that "after that" does not always mean "because of that".
