Friends,

I use HUAWEI E5172 As-22 (officially branded in M-Video) router with Megafon operator in the Moscow region for the Internet and mainly for IP telephony (built-in SIP client) - a DECT phone is connected to it

So IP telephony is unstable - registration is often lost (different providers), although the Internet works well on it

Respectively,

1) Does it make sense to install the firmware from Megaphone, or is it severely curtailed and more serious problems may arise with IP telephony?

2) will there be a problem later to recover on the original HUAWEI firmware

3) Can it be better to just watch the latest original HUAWEI firmware and live on it? and what is now pliz last?

Thank!!

Good day to all!
We bought this miracle, with a 3G sim card it works fine.
When I insert an LTE SIM card from a megaphone, it does not find the network.
Writes a connection error, error code 3254.

Firmware from here (http://3ginfo.ru/downloads938.html)rocked, but it is not set.
Through the browser, downloading the firmware file ends with an error.
A utility that in the screenshots of the link pretends that it works, but in fact does not flash anything.
What are the suggestions of colleagues?

Maybe the problem is that the "4G / LTE" service is not connected to the megaphone and therefore does not work .. Try it - it happened on several devices ..

And check this sim card on another device ...

And don’t put a better megaphone firmware better - Huawei’s support said it’s cut down a lot - For example, as Megaphone says IP telephony is not supported on it

The Megovon R100-1 Megovsky router has weaned from greed, thanks to the authors of the topic:
"Here you can get device unlock codes for FREE"
Now you can use the whole range of providers - Pchelain, Megaphone, Yota, MTS and Tele2.
ps
To request a code (NEW ALGO CODE) the router should be called -Megafon R100-1
Also be sure to get the code you needemail address on google mail
And lastly: to enter the unlock code, I needed a SIM card of another OPPOS. It is necessary to make the router system "curse."
At hand was SIMKA MTS.
"The system cursed," and asked for the code, warning that there were only 10 attempts. I fed it earlierNEW ALGO CODE
Check unlock can be carried out by the programDC-Unlocker. Take it for free on the same site developer.
To work with all PPSPs in your area, complete the appropriate APN profiles.
Then to connect, simply select the desired one after installing the appropriate SIM.

Tell me please, noob, will this router work with any LTE operator?
Now I have a megaphone LTE modem with Wi-Fi on their SIM card, I want to change this for the sake of connecting the phone. Will I need to customize that thread, or will I just stick my current SIM card and I will have LTE?
Will the phone also work simply by sticking it into the router and setting the parameters of the SIP telephony provider?

Thank you for not answering: rofl:
I bought this router, I set everything up, it works fine.
If there is no VoIP telephony, then when you connect a landline phone to the router, you can call as from a mobile phone. When you call, the SIM card number is used and, accordingly, all of its properties and rates, as if you inserted a SIM card into a mobile phone.
If there is VoIP, then VoIP is used first, if it is not available, then CS.
This is all great and convenient, but how to turn off CS ?? If there is no VoIP then so that it does not ring at all ...

But is it possible to put this firmware somewhere? To replace it with a megaphone

Is this something?
Yes, and I had a question after viewing your photo. Did I understand correctly that to add a 2nd external antenna through the SMA connector on the chipset (top right), there is already a “free” and not yet occupied antenna connector?

Thanks for the pdfchik, then what you need.
These are not free, they are technological connectors for control measurements on the production conveyor. For them, do not find a mate.
You can connect a second external antenna only through UFL type connectors on the RF module (which is with a bar code), into which standard antennas are connected.
By default, the horizontal is permanently connected, and the vertical is switched by a software key-mikruha that is next to the SMA-connector.

External antenna taxis.

If you do not mind, then pliz photo in the studio.
Thanks for the pdfchik, then what you need.

This was good inside the firmware archive for the Megovskiy router. What is interesting Huawei not in all archives with the firmware puts a similar description. Why is it so ... Kh.Z. I myself am still looking for a similar description on the Huawei B880-75. : rolleyes:
By default, the horizontal is permanently connected, and the vertical is switched by a software key-mikruha that is next to the SMA-connector.

Do I interpret you correctly:
- When there is no external antenna on the router, the router uses MIMO if it is possible with 2 internal antennas ("vertical" and "horizontal")
- When there is an external antenna on the router (only one external one), then MIMO is not possible in principle.
- For a full-fledged MIMO with a set of external antennas, it makes sense (or at least the opportunity) to "modify" the router to the 2nd external antenna, because the "basic chipset of the router itself is not against it, but only FOR!"

It is possible to find out the signal level in a regular way, for this you need to go to WEB 192.168.1.1, and there:
System>Diagnostics>Check the status of wireless. network
