Installing custom (custom or unofficial) firmware

To do this, you should already have:

• Unlocked bootloader;
  
• InstalledRecovery;
  

1. Download the desired firmware file in.ziparchive. Also downloadGoogle Apps (Gapps). Throw files into the root of the tablet’s memory (it is possible in any folder on the tablet it’s important that you find it later (it is advisable to call the folder in Latin letters otherwise inRecoveryyou will see asterisks something else)).
2. Turn off the tablet. When you turn it off, we hold down the power key and the volume down key. Use the volume keys to select an item.Recovery modeand push the power button. The tablet is loaded into modeRecovery.
3. Click on the itemWipeand do svayp right. Return to the main menuRecovery. Choose an itemInstall, find the file of the selected firmware and make the svayp to the right for in a specially designated area, wait for the installation to finish. After completion, clickWipe cache / dalvik, do svayp, press the buttonBack, press the back button and selectGoogle appsif downloaded. Install the same way as the firmware.
4. Next, clickReboot system.

The first off-night cm11 after snapshot appeared, tested it on its tablet, noticed that it was almost identical to the unofficial build of bruce2728, of the main differences I noticed the lack of support for non-caf cores ie When installing ElementalX 2.2, get a loop and crash graphics when the system boots, plus there is no s2w / s2s and dt2w there are no more differences. I don’t know whether the status of SELinus is “blocking”, while in Brucis there is “only a warning”
Someone wrote that double tap does not turn on the screen on the core ElementalX 2.2 if you lock with the button off. So there was no solution like this, today when installing the kernel I noticed a menu item in aroma that says to disable double tapes when locking with a button, if you want to disable it just uncheck the penultimate settings item

A brief review about the firmware IllusionRom from 12/07/2013.
When installing over CM 11, it did not boot without a full wipe, then after launch it found the following:
1. The quick settings panel in the status bar does not work, and the notification panel works as it should
2. Russian language in the menu and most of the firmware is missing, although selected in the settings
3. Google Play and other google services must be set manually
4. Of the features of the firmware, I note there is a Performance item in which there are many kernel settings from cpu settings to dalvik editing, the s2w dt2w function is organized on the native kernel, there is an Illusion Settings add-in in which nothing but ActiveDisplay yet.
5. The developer wrote that there is sms, in the 3rd screenshot it is shown as in fact (SMS enabled-deb)
6. Flush-based firmware therefore supports non-caf kernels (elementax, franco, n3oflo, etc.)
7. Advance Reboot Menu is
P.S. I did not like the firmware, as compared with the stock, so far there is nothing interesting in it, but the lack of normal Russian language and the non-working quick settings panel are also annoying
