NES / Famicom History
In the early 80s, Nintendo, by that time already an experienced manufacturer of electronic games, noticed the success of home gaming consoles, in particular the success of Coleco Vision in 1982 with a game developed by Nintendo (Donkey Kong) that came with the prefix. And Nintendo also decided to come to this market. To begin with, Nintendo became a distributor of the Magnavox Odyssey console in Japan, and later developed a game console called Famicom, which was released only in Japan.

The head of Nintendo, Hiroshi Jamocho, wanted to create a console that surpasses all consoles available at the time. This task was assigned to Masayaki Uemura who was supposed to create a 16-bit machine with a disk drive and at the same time it should cost no more than $ 75. Unfortunately, this was not implemented because the price would then be extremely expensive and therefore the console became 8-bit, and the drive was released later.

Famicom Famicom was released in Japan in July 1983 for $ 100. The first games that came out on Famicom were all of us now known: Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr and Popeye. By the end of 1993, improved versions of Donkey Kong Jr and Popeye were released, with the possibility of playing together. Also at this time is Baseball and the main hit from Nintendo, Mario Bros.

In the first year of release, Nintendo faced a number of problems such as: low reliability of the console with numerous errors and defects. Jamocho didn’t want the buyers to have a bad opinion about the set-top box and therefore the defective set-top boxes were withdrawn and sales of new ones were stopped until the troubleshooting was fixed. Later, Famicom was re-released with an updated motherboard.

In 1984, Nintendo decided to conquer the US market. Nintendo asked ATARI to promote its console in the American market, but was refused because ATARI was promoting its system. And then Nintendo hired Worlds of Wonder to distribute its console in the United States.

The prefix was released on the US market in June 1985 at the most unsuccessful moment in the entire history of video game history. At the time of the collapse of the video game industry. The prefix was positioned as a system of entertainment from Nintendo. Vendors treated the new console with extreme skepticism, Nintendo had to guarantee that they would buy out all unsold copies of consoles and cartridges in the event of a bad sale in stores and only under such conditions it appeared in American stores.

In some regions, especially in South America, South Africa, China, North Korea, and in the former Soviet Union, where NES and Famicom were never officially released or sold, such clones were the only available game system. In addition, the inventor Screw helps Scrooge, improving the properties of the cane, so that she breaks hitherto impregnable stones (you just need to find the screw itself in the levels). Bosses in the end of the stages, of course, are present. Relatives help mainly morally again, but more is not required of them =) It’s not easy to search for parts of the map, you have to be quite observant, looking for hidden passages in the walls and exploring hidden places. A toy with three levels of difficulty.

All that is required for this is a soldering iron (and the ability to use it), a multimeter, and the joystick itself. Just let me give you some useful tips. If you need a new cord, buy a modern joystick and take the cord from it. The benefit of the new joysticks are inexpensive and are sold with different types of connectors. Their wire quality is more or less good. And the second tip - never pay attention to the color of the wires, as a rule they are always different and can easily be confused. All you need is to look at the circuit and solder the necessary outputs of the connector to the joystick board.
