1. Where to start?

Root is a file that is written in the system and allows editing protected system files
Backup - files that makesRecovery in order to be able to return the phone to its original state before any manipulations

2. We put the firmware from the MTS 970H / Alcatel OT 4030D

In order to install the firmware from another phone, you must first need to format the phone via the SP Tool, and then flash the phone along with partitionsPreloaderandDSP_BL, and if they are not suitable for your phone, then your phone will not turn on (it will turn out Brick), which is not very pleasant.
Therefore, first of all, do Backup of all through the MTK Tool / SP Tool with all sections.
Then you will need to make sure that you do notMTS 970H. And often the problem is that users get a brick due to the fact that they have incorrectly identified their phone. And by the way, the instruction is only for MTS 970, not Alcatel OT 4030D or MTS 970H.
Scatter itself also plays a decisive role, as it fits to some phones, but not others. The same can be said about Preloader and DSP_BL.

3. Installing Recovery and / or firmware via SP Tool

To install Recovery / Firmware, you must first install the driver -Driver MTC970.zip(15.46 MB)
and then download the programSP Toolwhich we will flash our phone
Without deviating from the plan, you will be able to install Firmware / Recovery 100-pounds if:

• You have installed all the necessary drivers.
  
• We downloaded the SP Tool and the necessary firmware / recovery and placed them in the folder (eg. Android) on the C drive (Path: S: / Android)
  
• Disable antivirus and exit all background programs.

• Turn off the phone
  
• We connect via USB to PC / Laptop

4. Flash the phone through the Recovery

In order to flash the phone through rekoveri, you still have to use the SP Tool program to start
But the difference is that instead of a whole set of components from the firmware, you only repair Recovery itself. Links to them you can take from 3 points.
Then we use any scatter that you have, but with firmware, select only Boot (just in case) and Recovery, and after flashingalso distort the battery

Pre-transfer firmware in Zip format to SD card
Then turn off the phone and proceed, following the plan:

• Start the phone by holding the power key and the volume key up
  
• We get into CWM / TWRP Recovery
  On the example of CWM:
  
• Go to the item "Backup & Restore", scrolling through the sound keys, then Backup the power button

5. Bring and recover

In order to save all your data before installing the firmware or applications / files that make you suspicious, we use Backup.

6. After flashing

I want to say separately that after flashing (only for the SP Tool), the old applications will remain on your phone, but with updated system applications and data.
Therefore, after flashing it is strongly recommended to go to "Settings", "Restore and reset", and then select the item to erase all data at the very bottom with the agreement to the warning.
In principle, you can not do this, but once you catch an error like mine, with which I still suffer - the phone cannot remember the default launcher / locker. This is not a problem if you have only a standard one or another, but only one launcher, because it is clear that there will not be any request. And no known way to get rid of it.
With Recovery, there are no such problems, since before the firmware you are doing a Wipe, i.e. erase all data from the phone.

7. Newans

• newIn no case do not do the system wipe (Wipe) unnecessarily. After it, you definitely do not start the system, and you will have to completely reflash

• At the moment in the section there is no true custom firmware, and therefore there is no list of bugs, since they are almost the same
  
• Not all Alcatel OT 4030 firmwares can go to MTS 970!
  
• Not all Recovery backup custpack'a (the main folder in the system), therefore it is desirable to put those recovery, which make backup this section
  
• Backup from CWM and from TWPR do not fit together - they have different processing algorithms
  
• If after installing the recovery you have appearedgray screen- You will have to reflash completely (rekoveri either broken, or you violated the following paragraph)
  
• Unlike CWM, TWPR can backup individual parts of a partition, and both TWPR and CMW can restore any of the partitions (Advance Restore)
  
• Can not be putonly recoveryfrom Alcatel. It is installedonly through the SP Tool and only with the rest of the components from the firmware
  
• Before actions in Recovery, we definitely have a charge on the phone of more than 35% (for backup should be enough)
