INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Download and install the drivers for the firmware (attached to the post)

2. Download and unpack the program SP Flash Tool (attached to the post).On the way to the program there should be no Russian, Chinese and other non-Latin characters!

3. Download the firmwarefrom hereand unpack it.On the way to the firmware should not be Russian, Chinese and other non-Latin characters!

4. Run Flash_tool.exe, press the Scatter-loading button and select MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt from the folder with the firmware

Modified Recovery for Philips Xenium W8510

- Attention: after flashing the modified recovery, you cannot reset to the factory settings via the phone menu! This will result in a cyclic reboot, which can be cured only by flashing the native factory Recovery.

Installation:

1. Download and unpack one of the attached archives (CWM or MIUI recovery to choose from).

Repartitioning the internal memory of the device

The instruction is designed for those who at least a little understand what they are doing. It is understood that root rights are obtained on the phone and there is an external SD card, on which there is enough space for backup.

2. Install CWM Recovery in any way;
3. Reboot to recovery, go to backup and restore, make a backup;

5. Launch Meteos MTK6589 ROM EDIT;
6. Select item 2.0 GiB / data partition;
7. Without leaving meteos, reboot into recovery;
8. Do wipe data / factory reset;
9. Go to backup and restore ->advanced restore;

If it is needed for some purposes, you need to do the following:

2. Run it;

4. In the terminal, type busybox mkfs.vfat -v / emmc @ fat, wait until it works;
