This manual is an unofficial firmware method for Huawei Ascend W1.Remember that you do everything at your own peril and risk!

Instructions on firmware:

1) Install the necessaryUSB Drivers. For Windows 8 (and sometimes for Windows 7), disabling driver signature verification is mandatory as well as running as administrator.

2) Open the cover of the smartphone and remove the SIM card and SD card, then close the small round contact located on the left of the SD card slot onto the metal cover that covers the SIM card connector (you can use 2 needles)

and without releasing press the power button. If everything is done correctly, then the smartphone should have a black screen, then connect it to the computer, the following device should be in the device manager.

3) Next, install the programQPST. (Do not forget that all programs need to be run as administrator further). After installation, open the QPST Configuration, the phone should be automatically detected, minimize (do not close!) The program and open the eMMC Software Download program. Uncheck Program MMC Device. Furtherdownload bootloader files (addition) and unpack them. In eMMC Software Download, select Load Build Contents and select the path to the contents.xml loader file and click Download. After that, the following device should be in the device manager.
4) Next, remove the tick from the Program Boot Loaders and tick the Program MMC Device, select the Qualcomm MMC with the mouse ... and click Download. After that, Windows will offer to format the partition, clickCancel !!!After that, unplug the phone from the computer, remove and reinsert the battery and press the power button. If you did everything right, then iWare uniBIOS FFU Application should appear on your phone.

Important:If the device is not automatically detected, it is worth trying to reinstall the simpleio driver manually. In the Device Manager or in the "Devices and Printers" menu, look for QUALCOMM_MSM_DEVICE to further update the driver, select from the list of already installed, install from the disk and specify the path to the simpleio driver, the phone should then be determined.

5) Downloadflash driverandfirmware(official russian firmware GDR2). Open the flasher, enter the password "Huawei", specify the path to the downloaded firmware and configuration file WindowsPhoneDefaultsCfg.xml (located in the folder with the flasher), click Next and Scan && Download. The firmware process will begin.

6) After the end of the firmware on the phone will appear a big "OK"

and after that you can pull out the battery, insert the SIM-katu, sd card and turn on the phone :)

This is the official clean GDR2 firmware. There is no full jailbreak for WP8 yet.

4. Insert the SD card into the phone and turn it on with the following key combination: volume up key + camera key + power key. As soon as the phone vibrates, release the power key and keep the other keys pressed.
5. The phone will determine the firmware and the flashing process will begin.
6. The device itself will reboot and turn on with the firmware already loaded.
