Description:
Description:
The perfect solution for building a home network
Connecting the D-Link DIR-632 wireless router to a cable or DSL modem provides shared high-speed access to the Internet, game consoles, and multimedia devices. The DIR-632 802.11n router provides up to 14 times more speed and a 6-fold increase in range1, compared to 802.11g, while remaining backward compatible with 802.11g and 802.11b devices. With two external antennas, this router provides a high degree of wireless coverage for a large home and office. In addition, the built-in 8-port 10/100 Fast Ethernet switch provides wired devices for fast data transfer and online gaming without delay.

Advanced Wireless Security
The DIR-632 router supports security features to prevent unauthorized access over a wireless network or from the Internet. Support for WEP, WPA and WPA2 standards provides the optimal choice of data encryption. In addition, the router supports dual firewall (SPI and NAT) to prevent potential attacks from the Internet.

IPv6 Ready
The DIR-632 facilitates the transition from IPv4 to IPv6. The router was awarded the IPv6 Ready logo, which means not only its support for IPv6, but also its compatibility with other manufacturers' IPv6 equipment. This allows you to use a 128-bit addressing system and connect directly to a user anywhere in the world using a unique IP address. Thanks to the dual-stack architecture, the DIR-632 can simultaneously support routing for networks based on IPv4 and IPv6, which ensures complete compatibility of the device.

Post on the transition to the latest version of DD-WRT: yes2:

Especially for those who just went into this thread and too lazy to read and look for all the info! : D

So for the dir632a router
1. Roll back to the old stock firmwareAttached file20130109_1609_DIR_632_1.4.1_sdk-master.bin.zip(5.11 MB)

2. We are waiting for the router to boot with the old firmware

3. If everything is ok, then do the following:
go to the parameters of the network card (through which the connection with the router is going) and set the IP address of the network card 192.168.0.2 and save
Attached Image

clamp reset on the router>stick the power in the router>the first indicator blinks 10 times>release the reset.

4. In the file selection window for updating, select our DD-WRT firmware (latest version as of 11/16/18 + plus already updated the HEX editor revision on WW (Any place else in the world)) firmware file itself>Attached filefactory-to-ddwrt_WW.zip(7.27 MB)

5. After the software update is completed, it is necessary to enter the settings of the network card and set the parameters to the Automatic mode.
Attached Image

6. Last step, open the browser and write in the address barhttp://192.168.1.1and voila, we are welcomed by the freshly installed DD-WRT firmware!

P.S. I advise you after the first start of the dd-wrt firmware to do a full reset of all tinctures, and after that turn on and set everything up: thank_you:
P.S actual link to FTP with DD-WRT firmwareftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/

through the clamped reset (after the indicator blinks 10 times) only the stock firmware is sewn or only thishttps: //nosferatu.g0x....1-squashfs-factory.bin. Any other firmware seems to be successful, but the router does not respond, the web muzzle does not open. Tried a dozen different dd-wrt and openwrt. And through the cable and through the open network dd-wrt go .. DHCP gives the address, but ping does not go. How to deal with it?

UPD: I flashed again this openwrt, what works, downloaded another version, which updated it for updating via the web ... Has risen with glitches, the WAN has fallen off, well, I think a hard reset will help .. right now .. the router has rebooted and again does not ping ..

* -playtester-,
What do you want to achieve? My openwrt firmware (the one you wrote that works) is the fastest and failsafe in it should work without any problems. Other openwrt firmware for this device is not in nature, well, except for the dense firmware from oldcomputerjunk, but it is better not to remember about it, there is a hack on it. If you want ddwrt, then it does not know how to steer the switches, respectively, depending on how the switches were configured on the last firmware after the update, you can get the absence of a network. In this case, a power reset is needed, because the bootloader does not configure switches if they did not enter recovery mode and leaves them in an unconfigured state, for which such firmware that can not steer and hope. At the same time, the network should earn, if of course the firmware has been properly stitched and is generally operable.

Hi guys, everyone. I patched the router with firmware 1.4.1 - the Internet settings began to be reset regularly. It is necessary to customize according to a new (Porroe connection - enter the login and password). Dumped to the factory - still the same nonsense. What to do, where to dig?

Hello! There was a need to do port forwarding on the router. And open the port. Here are my actions:
1) Through DHCP RESERVATION, I reserved my current IP address.
2) I went to the port forwarding tab. I set up the port, I attach a screenshot
Attached Image

3) I went to the site 2ip.ru and unfortunately made sure that the port is still closed!
4) Disabled antivirus, firewall port is still hopelessly closed.
5) I rebooted the router - the port is closed.
6) I watched a ton of video, the authors do the same actions as me, but they all have two times and the port is open

Help, open the port. In what can be a joint.

I tried to open a port at work there another provider and router NETGEAR.
And actually, too, nothing happened.

Can someone tell me. I purchased the dir 632 firmware version 2.6.1
How to make him work in the usual switch mode with wi-fi?
I connect all the wires to the LAN ports on the computers on the Internet and there is a network when connecting to wi-fi that the WAN port is not connected.
I insert the wire into the WAN port of wi-fi works, the Internet is there but other computers on the network that are included in another switch are not visible

* Ck-NoSFeRaTU,
Can you please tell me if there is rflow in openwrt and is it possible to sew it over dd-wrt? Or do you need to roll back to the stock first?
