Instructions

Installing Drivers for MTK6577 Chipset
Run the program
Select the file agent (File agent, must be * .bin), if it is not automatically selected.
Select the Scatter-loading file - this is a text file. It will be in the folder with the firmware and contain .... -scatter- ... ..txt
Next, click download.
We connect the device, then everything is automatic, you can watch the connection in the status bar, which port is connected, the progress indicator.
At the end, it will write Download ok and a small additional window will appear.

I have a Surfer 8.31 3G first revision with firmware 1.02. I decided to upgrade it to version 1.03 and nothing happened. Firmware downloaded official, from the site Explay. Everything is done according to the instructions. However, after pressing the firmware button>Upgrade in the Flash Tool, a window appears with expletives that the firmware does not contain the files DSP_BL, MBR and EBR1. There are no such files in the folder with firmware 1.03. But in the firmware 1.02 there are such files.
What to do? Or what am I doing wrong?

For starters, read this thread and the "Explay Surfer 8.31 3G - Discussion". Try another USB connector, reinstall the firewood, remove the flash drive and reinstall it,
try other versions of flashtool, try on another computer, change the cable, click not Firmware->Upgrade, and Download. The field for experiments is huge.
