Advise an alternative firmware on Asus rt-n10u b1, for raising vpn connection via 3G / 4G modem? I tried dd-wrt, the built-in pptp client does not want to rise through the usb modem, the firmware from Oleg never went - stupidly could not get through authentication to access the firmware web-interface, which is strange, Tomato has not tried yet. While the latest firmware is working from the Asus site, vpn has to be lifted directly on a PC, laptop or smartphone, which is not very convenient.

I answer my own question - a modified official firmware helped, foundhere. There are a lot of goodies added, even double WAN is.

Least of all problems were with modems from Huawei. The router is already old. I would choose a newer modem. That memory was 8, and 16 megabytes is better. It can be useful.
