Hello.

Advise a simple, inexpensive Chinese tablet, but be sure to use gps so that it can be used as a navigator in a car without the Internet.
The main bias is that navigation would work fine.
The minimum requirements of those. data is enough: OS - Android, 7-inch screen, 512 MB RAM, processor 1.0 Hz.

thanks in advance.

Too long tormented by this issue. But recently I received a Samsung GT-N8000 as a gift, now I will understand.
But I am primarily interested in homemade raster maps for driving on bad roads for fishing, for mushrooms, etc.
You should also decide whether you will drive off the highway or not.

The same question as korgevich, but I want something more powerful.
Or is it better to take a specialized device for GPS?

meekey, I have already asked on this forum in another section (http: //savagemessiahzine.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=489920&st=0#entry24338045)and in other forums also raised this issue. So that's what I concluded: it’s better to buy a navigator in China separately. why? Because the tablets that work as a navigator are very stupid and slow down. A lot of resources are consumed by navigation, plus the whole start of navigation takes a lot of time. plus a simple tablet, in the summer it will be very hot in the sun (temperature may be up to 50 degrees), and there are many more minuses. Well, do not forget that when many parallel functions are connected in one device, this is not good.

And yet, I thought it was purely in terms of money. It turns out to buy the simplest tablet in China separately - about 50-60 dollars. Separately buy a normal navigator - this is also $ 50. total 100-110 dollars.
But if you buy a tablet with navigation, add the hdmi output to this whole case and the mounting holder for the car with charging - there is a sum of $ 100 (and this is the most idle tablet model). in the end - it turns out the same money. so I decided to buy myself apart and not to bathe.

I picked up this option for myself, I’ll order it today (I’ll order Hong Kong via mail, they really send out faster, and you only need to pay 4 dollars) -http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Car-GPS-7-I.../508831662.html

Here it is necessary to clarify the model of the tablet, and not all under one "comb".

I will be only glad if you specifically specify and indicate the names and models of those tablets that are NOT stupid and do NOT inhibit;)

Well, anyway, which tablet is better suited to the car. And whether it is necessary 3G, or navigation with GPS module will work well.
Please, unsubscribe please who has a tablet without 3G, who can normally test the navigation.

advise a simple, inexpensive Chinese tablet

More than a year used:
http: //www.prestigio.r...GeoVision_7777_Navitel
And now:
http: //www.prestigio.c...GeoVision_7780_Navitel
I think I’m going to try this one, memory is smaller, there is no DVB-T and mounting on the glass, but there is 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, FM radio:

I highly recommend paying attention to the Samsung p3113. I had the opportunity to compare with Garmin Nuvi 50, 40, 52 and 42 navigators. Due to GLONASS support, these tablets establish contact with satellites faster, and most importantly, even in places where GPS does not catch.

A very good option - cube talk 7. costs about 3t.r. Catching satellites much better navigators (I have several different ones - I know what I'm talking about). You can put navigation programs with traffic jams. And the tablet is powerful. The problem is one - you need to pick up the mount in the car, on the glass - all the same too big, on the torpedo just right, but you need to find a place.

The conclusion from that article: a tablet with a-gps function (a function to quickly determine its location) is driving. In my opinion a better 7 "screen, because under it is easier to pick up the holder.
But which model to choose? What tth focus? Who uses what?

Just read the article that the tablet for navigation is a bad idea if it is not an apple (great price = cool stuff) =))

Here is what else I found:
taken from here
26.10.2013 18:33
Look for tablets for 7-8 "with thin side frames for navigation on Mediatek MT6589 \ 8125 \ 838 9 chips (quad core 1.2-1.5 GHz) and MT6572 (dual core 1.2 GHz, while smartphones just went on it) all energy efficient at 28nm technical process. cheap with integrated GPS module in SOC. This is because of them the prices of Samsung and Apple products are falling. Of course, there is also an interesting and cheap Rockchip RK3188 percent also at 28nm technical process, but it has no built-in support 3G and often with disabled GPS function in tablets. I like the CUBE U55GT model. There is also a RoverPad Air S7.85 16 GB. 3G and so on. Guy From 7. "- Tablet Texet TM 7055HD 8GB, 3G, DNS AirTab P70qw etc. Price tags already from 5,5t.r and very quickly fall. Better to take with the matrix IPS, if glossy, then glue a matte film. Who needs quality !!! reception and support of glonass, then only 7 "Samsung Tab 2 (3?) is cheap so far (there are some misunderstandings on Glonass, we are looking at the specification of a specific model). The price is from 6.3 tonnes, but with obsolete hardware.
You can use free software (Yandex Navigator, 2Gis)

and so
I do not agree with the statement about the absence of deficiencies of GPS / GLONASS navigators. There is a drawback and a very significant one; this is actually the software itself, or rather the maps. If you are a fisherman, or just move around in the countryside, the navigator can be safely turned off and guided by the view from the window (if it is not night). In the tablet, you can use Yandex or Google, and just navigate by satellite images, in most areas the resolution of these images allows you to see all the country roads (of course, this does not apply to the area already quite remote from settlements)
