CheapCast is an app that aims to emulate the ChromeCast Dongle. It can be used for your ChromeCast-enabled Applications (like YouTube, Google Music).
Please note: This is a early Beta version. Some (if not all) things might not work correctly. Additionally casting Chrome Tabs is not yet supported.

And how did you want to see on TV what is on a tablet that is not connected to it?
The application emulates chromecast, i.e. must be installed on a device physically connected to the TV. And from another device starts the stream.
In a word: sabzh + android = chrome caste.

There is a bug. When you press the image transfer button on the big screen in the application, when the video is already being broadcast on TV, the display on the big screen stops.

The problem is that while the translation is turned on in the application, the tablet does not fall asleep and quickly discharges. And I want to use it as a remote control.


Nothing could be transferred from the chrome PC. The application for chromium is not set. Writes a check.

Try a thread dlna / upnp controller. For example BubbleUPNP.

I do not confirm the bug. Beta 0.4.1 from Market on BeeLink MK908 (Finless ROM 1.7), I throw a stream from the official YouTube client to SE Live with Walkman (CM10.2) and from the Google Cast addon to Chrome on a PC - everything works like a clock.

I haven’t seen any analogues, but I don’t understand why to emulate the initially functionally limited device. Moreover, an application with such a weight (40 MB). What is not satisfied with the standard tools, like upnp / dlna / miracast?

Can you tell me how to send a video from YouTube (from a phone) to a media player on an android? The LG TV is well sent from the standard YouTube program. Can be done also on the console?
