Yota Many can be charged either through a cable (included in the package), by connecting it to a standard or micro USB connector, or by connecting directly to a USB connector on a computer (simply by unfolding the USB connector). The dual USB / micro USB connector, migrated from the old Many, is now made of nice metal. Although it seems like the old connector did not break anyone ... Thanks to this clever connector, the router can be inserted without unnecessary wires into the USB port of the computer and used as a modem. The router uses a micro-SIM, which is inserted into a barely noticeable slot on the side of the connector. Yes, there are no reception level indicators in the router! Neither on the display, nor micro-plugs with lights (as it was in the old Many), not even in the web interface. The web interface only has signal values ​​in db.

The router has a 3-position mode switch "ON" - "OFF" - "Yota Share", and the position "OFF" is in the middle, which in my opinion is not very convenient. There is also a Reset button located in the same switch.

The Yota Share feature allows you to create an open network parallel to the closed. The ratio of the number of available connections through an open network and closed (a total of maximum 8) is configured in the web interface. When the open connection limit is reached, the emoticon on the display (which just lights up when the open network is turned on) changes to "surprised"

Today I want to consider the new Yota Many device released recently in Russia.
Product quality:
1) The body is made of good plastic, there are metal elements (usb input).
2) It is comfortable to hold in hand, although it is wide.
3) There are battery indicators and the number of people connected.
4) There is a function Yota share-it will allow you to create an open network. Example: You are connected to a hidden network yota. You need to distribute the network to a friend, but you do not want to give a password in connection that the friend will then use the network without your knowledge. If Yota share is enabled, then the hidden network works and an additional open network opens. An open network is indicated by a smile. 5) Personal account settings are now much easier than quanta. Just a couple of settings.

I told about the bug I discovered:
When watching Youtube videos, with Android devices, Google nexus 7, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3.
For example, a 10-minute video, the video loads faster than watching. Minute to 7 video is already fully loaded.
After you finish watching the video, click the "back" button or the "youtube" icon to return to the list of videos or to your "playlist" or to your "subscriptions". Because the playlist is cached when first accessed, then the http request does not occur and the modem that went into "sleep" does not wake up. The message "there was a problem with the network."
If youtube application is minimized at this moment, the browser is turned on and you go to a website, the modem wakes up, you go back to the youtube application and the video starts on the first attempt.

The most correct solution would be to add the ability to enable / disable this power saving mode in the router menu. For example, the user sits at the outlet and the router is connected to a stable power supply. Why should the user save energy and let the router fall asleep.

A question arises: which side is better to direct MANY towards the BS? According to the above images of the entrails, it is not entirely clear where the antenna stands there. I dare to suggest that, by analogy with QUANTA, you need to direct the upper end (USB is on the lower end), since the disassembled device clearly shows where the antenna is. And how to be here?

I noticed that the YOTA Access software was not optimized - the monitor in the tray does not display the connection conditions and balance, neither when the MANY is connected as a modem, nor when the wi-fi connection is in the closed access point mode. In Yota-share mode, the device doesn’t see the monitor at all if you connect to this wi-fi network itself, but this is understandable.
The button in the "Turn off the device" tray does not work. Apparently soon there should be an updated version of YOTA Access with support for YOTA MANY.
