Attention!

How to ask for help in upgrading
Dear visitors, please follow these requirements to assist you:
  • Describe the complete configuration of your PC, including the case model and monitor
  • Describe what you lack in the current PC, what you want to get in the end
  • Budget for upgrade, store, city

If an upgrade is planned from used components from Avito, OLX, or other sites,you will need to look for such components personally, since it’s impossible to go through all the options in search of the right one - it’s difficult and time consuming. Links to the found options can be laid out in order to choose the best of them.
Thank!
useful links
For advanced:
Some platforms on the 775 socket allow you to install server quad-core Xeon processors on a 771 socket, which are very cheaply sold on Chinese marketplaces. However, there is still a risk that something will go wrong - mainly due to limited support for motherboards, BIOS firmware, modified firmware, and socket damage during preparation and inaccurate installation of the processor. Further information can be found on the links below:

Korday @ 06/30/2013, 20:22*
please tell me why you need it?

for fun :)
I’m not going to buy poppies, but I wouldn’t mind feeling poppies.
I have a laptop on board core-i5, and I have this old man, it's just nice to dig around, buy spare parts, and saw through the OS. And what else to do ..... =))

nustek20,
You can put tench or Andrew for fun. Well, this is how the soul desires.

It has been standing for two years already, it doesn’t warm the soul.

So did you change the voltage when the processor was driven?

I did not find in the BIOS such an item that would allow lowering or raising the voltage ...
do you need to lower the voltage during acceleration? or raise? or in different ways?

Rep: (39)
nustek20,
naturally, I mixed up your chipset with V4M800PRO

raise naturally

But how to raise it if there is no such option in the BIOS.?!

nustek20,
I do not understand overclocking, small basics). Eats special motherboards for overclocking. But we are discussing a PC upgrade here.

In 2006, I bought a computer. After 3 years, the system flew. I bought a laptop and use it, and the system unit is worth it, it’s a pity to throw it away, I think I can upgrade, tell me the best option. There is: a motherboard gigabyte ga-81pe1000-g, processor 2.4 intel celeron, RAM 512 ddr400., Graphics card agp128 gf6200. 350W system unit.
I think to change 1). The processor to intel p4 (soket 478, intel865 from 2.8 to 3.2). 2). RAM up to 4 gig. and 3). a video card (supports agp 8x) and buy a new hard sata for 1ter.
Is it worth it and what is better to put so that it is more modern and will the power supply pull out 350 watts?

Is it worth it to do
It probably depends on the goals and the estimated cost. If you take everything on the secondary market (and more, like, there is nowhere else), then why not, it will definitely work more fun.

Will the power supply draw out 350 watts?
Havehuman150 and everything works ... 350 is definitely enough.

IMHO, there is nothing to upgrade ... well, you can buy more memory and change the percentage on a threadAMD Athlon в„ў 64 X2 Dual-Core 6000+.
It all depends on the task and the thickness of the wallet.

I need to change this PC to on the game!)

Toxz90 @ 08.21.2013, 14:36*
on the game!)

This is unrealistic. The percentage of 6 years ago is clearly not a game. )

pasha_550
I’m not saying that we need to leave the percent, I want to assemble a new computer, only in the same building!)

Rep: (236)
Toxz90, Intel or AMD? Nvidia or ATi? the range of prices is huge, and what kind of housing? For game.kompa good body is desirable. I can tell you with AMD, since I have been working with them for many years. By Intel, I’m pass.

There is a PC with the following characteristics:
Mother: Albatron PX845PE REV800;
Percent: Pentium 4 2400 mHz, Northwood;
Memory: DDR1, 2 512 MB strips (PC2700 and PC2100);
Video: Nvidia Geforce 4 MX440 64 mb.

Upgraded to:
Percent: Pentium 4 2600 mHz, Northwood (overclocking);
Memory: DDR1, Kingston, 2 strips of 512 mb each (PC2700);
Video: Manli GeForce 6600 256 mb.
+ CD-RW drive.
Will the PSU draw 350 watts? Or is it better to put a more powerful PSU?
The current configuration is calmly pulled by a 350-watt PSU.
and this configuration will stalker pull?

And he started upgrading another PC, tell me which mother is better to take:
ECS 845PE-A800 or Albatron PX845PE REV800?
Or suggest your options (it is desirable that the mother supports booting from the USB + AGP-slot of the video card + built-in network card + socket 478 + USB 2.0).
