Important information!
Before performing any actions to install anything related to the firmware or system files, always make a backup or make sure that there is a fresh one in stock!

When unlocking the bootloader (bootloader), the unique DRM keys stored in the TA section are permanentlyare lost.
Therefore, it is recommended to make a backup of the TA-partition before the procedure.
After unlocking the update bootloader, it is recommended to install only manually via Flashtool or recovery.

When restoring someone else's backup with the TA section, you will receivefaulty devicewithout the possibility of further recovery, without replacing the motherboard!

Official updates to Android 6.0 will not be.

How to start studying the topic. Glossary for beginners
  • Backup download

(backup): backup necessary files before flashing.
  • Busybox(buzibox): is a set of console utilities for Linux systems. Essentially needed by programs that require root-rights for proper functioning.
  • DRM keys: according to the officialwebsite, a special section in the device's memory, which contains access keys for the operation of some proprietary functions / applications such as "Bravia Engine", TrackID, loading covers in the Walkman application, OTA update.
  • Custom(custom): modification, change (custom firmware, custom recovery).
  • CWM(ClockworkMod recovery): custom recovery. Used for flashing custom firmware, formatting, backup.
  • Deodex(deodex): system files .apk along with themselves have a “load” file with the same name and extension .odex. With their help, presumably you can save some space. Deodexing means that you convert this .odex to .dex (the same file stored inside .apk) and put it back into .apk. This allows us to freely replace system applications without worrying about cokexes, but the main cause of deodexing was to do such an operation with the services.jar file, so that you can change the colors of all texts (for example, the color of the clock from white to black, etc.) , and to deodex services.jar, you need to deodex all system .apk-shki. The craftsmen removed the .ODEX files from the firmware, writing the information contained in them into the APK files, thereby reducing the size of the firmware and most importantly - now the APK files themselves can be changed as you like, this does not affect the system’s work in a fatal way. This is called deodexing.
This is good - in the deodexed firmware, you can easily open the APK file with the archiver, change the resources in it (pictures, etc.) and return the changed file to a place in the firmware.
  • Downgrade(downgrade, rollback): lowering the firmware, that is, rolling back from a newer version to an older one.
  • Full wipe(formatting, full wipe): made from custom recovery: mounts and storage ->format / cache, / system, / data, / preload, / sdcard; advanced ->wipe dalvik cache, wipe battery status. This will clear the cache, the contents of the internal memory, battery statistics, the system will be deleted.
  • Nandroid backup: full system backup with the ability to recover from any state.
How to do it: go to custom recovery ->backup and restore ->backup (backup will be saved to internal memory) or backup to external sdcard (backup will be saved to a memory card). To restore from backup, select restore.
  • Recovery(recovery): boot mode (similar to BIOS on BB).
How to enter: turn off the tablet, hold down the power button and increase the volume. The tablet will start to load, the "SONY" logo will appear and the LED will turn green, then you need to press the volume button up, the LED should turn purple. All now the tablet should boot into CWM. From the recovery, only custom firmwares are flashed (in * .zip format)
  • Root(root): administrator account. What is it for:
    • Full control over your system
    • Allows you to change system files
    • Run special applications that require more control over the system
    • System backup
    • Allows you to move the cache (browser / maps / Market'a / games) to the SD card.

  • Wipe(wipe): reset to factory settings. It is made from recovery: wipe data / factory reset and wipe cache partition.
  • XDA- XDA developers, portal and forum on mobile devices, firmware for them, beauties, etc. Most information and different utilities are written by its members.
  • Zip- ZIP format; It usually distributes custom firmware or patches, applications, etc;
  • Cwm package- ZIP file intended for installation through recovery, for example, firmware, firmware update, kernel, theme, percentage battery, etc.
  • Dalvik-cache- Cache .dex files, folder with davik cache (virtual machine in which all programs work)

For those who want to get an unlocked bootloader without losing DRM keys on the wifi version, you can try to get the root according to the instructions from the header. Backup TA section. (Read morehere, instruction for Xperia Z, but most likely will work on Tablet Z). Unlock the bootloader (instruction again in the header) and restore the TA partition backup.
If you want to experiment, write then here. If everything goes well, it will be possible to make instructions.

TID7,
And with a blocked native bootloader, is it possible to tinker the device to a state of non-recovery?

Probably it can, anything can happen. Personally, I would advise (from experience with Motorola) not to sew all the firmware completely, but find boot.img, system.img and flash only their fastboot.

Well, what, as I understand it, no one runs the risk of backing up the TA and unlocking the device? Probably, I will be the first: I already got everything I wanted from Sony, and everything works fine.

Added by:
TA.img copied successfully. It weighs 2048 KB. The script fits, that's for sure. mmcblk0p1 is TA.

Oh, it's good that the script works, and tried to unlock the bootloader and restore the partition? Or not?

TID7,not yet got to this. Already made a backup of data, went to Sonya’s site, agreed to the conditions, and suddenly thought that I don’t have the original firmware. Therefore, I decided to make backups of the kernel and the system in the same way as the script does backup TA, so that they can then sew these sections back without any problems. I went to rutexplorer in /dev/block/platform/msm_dcc.1/by-name, I determined the mmcblk I needed, and - I left on business :) Today I will try to finish this question. Just reluctance to softbrick and suffer later, looking for the original firmware.
I think that Flastool's changelog does not hurt here, especially given the fact that our device is now supported by it:
* 0.9.11
- This version is a big split with every previous ones. And not fully featured as previous can be.
I changed the UI framework from Swing to SWT.
Here is what is missing from previous releases:
- No multilingual UI
- No recovery installer
- No kernel installer (for 2010 devices)
- No ROM cleaner.
- Cannot Add / Edit / Remove devices.
- No TA hex editor (in pro mode)
- Version fully compatible with all 2013 devices (Z / ZL / Tablet Z etc etc)
- Unified Bootloader unlock feature with the new BLU icon. No more unlock plugin.
As for flashing, BLU is available even
unrecognized devices.
- Updated SuperSU package. Added servicemnu root hack (works with Z / ZL for all FW up to .434)
Known working for Xperia T / V too
- Added TA partition backup / restore. Using this feature, you can backup TA before unlock. Restore TA
will relock the device and get the DRM back as well as BE2 (full complete relock). You cant count
if your device is already unlocked. Missuse of this feature can brick the device.

Warlike,
Can. And how. And you can not install the firmware from the phone! : Beee: These are completely different devices, and the cores are also different in composition and execution.
In the core are the firewood of the display and the wheelbarrow. Punch the core from the SXZ-break and both so that only the SC will help.
And then for the money

Ghm, so for the firmware, neither a display nor a touch is required. Well, it will flash the core from the phone, well, the display will not work, but nothing will prevent it from entering the recovery and pouring the native core through the fastboot. After all, this requires only a cable and a volume button.

It will be late. By experience I speak. U. me in the SXsola profile, and I patched the kernel from SXU (the characteristics and the screen are the same) and that's it. The touch "burned out" did not help either the flashing or the kernel change. In the SC they said that the train was "killed." he was intact, but he didn’t see his phone. It is dangerous to sew cores from other, even so similar devices.

And about the firmware, do you want to fill only their / system / partition yourself?

Here it is even like ... Thanks for the warning.
No, I don’t want to sew anything at all, I am satisfied with the official, I just would like to protect myself from any failures with root, etc., having saved everything I can, including through the lockbox, which you will not get without unlocking. If there was a Carbon ROM, I would have caught on the idea of a flashing, and Cyan is somehow ... It's not serious. Not so there are many buns, for which it would be worth to move. As for the firmware from the phones - I personally was not going to try them, it was somehow scary before, but now it's scary)

These are completely different devices, and the cores are also different in composition and performance.

Well, it is obvious that the core can not be sewn from other devices, it was only about the firmware.

I, too, but not yesterday, but a couple of days ago, there are no visible changes, but it seems that the touch began to work more adequately.

You can save everything you can, including through the Klokvorkmod, which you will not get without unlocking.

Those. You unlocked the bootloader, right? Did the TA partition recover?
