Manual for CWM firmware on the phone + gapps + root installation . The material is taken, supplemented and slightly reworked from a friendly forum at
To start the introduction.
1.
Everything that you do, you do at your own peril and risk. Only YOU are responsible for damage to the device! 2. All paths to files and folders should be preferably in Latin. The easiest way to do this is to create a folder with the name “1” in the root of the disk with all the manipulations in it.
3. ADB drivers and drivers for MTK6589 from the header should be installed on the computer.
4. For work, you need two programs MtkDroidTools_v243 and SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1308.0.125. They are in the thread about the firmware.
1. Making scatter with MTKDroidTools
Scatter is a text file with block addresses needed for SP FlashTool. To create it, run the MTKDroidTools program, and after launching it, connect
included phone. It should be determined and information about it should appear in the program window. Next, click the button
Block map , and after that in the window that appears
create scatter file . Next, save it and remember the path. The program can still be closed
2. Launch SP FlashTool
In the main program window, click
Scatter-loading and select the file created in the previous step in the scatter explorer.
3.Create ROM_
Next, go to the tab
Read back and push the button
Add . In the window that opens, select the path to save the ROM file. By default, the program will prompt him to name ROM_0. We agree with this name and press the button
save .
4. Set the size of ROM_0
After pressing a button
save in the previous paragraph, a new window will appear. In it we check:
Type must stand in the hex. In field
Start Address need to write 0x000000. In field
Length copy from the scatter file from the first paragraph the address of the block following
RECOVERY or the address of another block for a more complete backup. For our phone, this is the address of the block
cache . Hex number must start with 0x
5.Read ROM_0
Push button
Read back .
Turn off phone and in
off state connect to the PC. After a second, numbers will run at the bottom of the program window, a progress bar will begin to fill. As soon as it reaches 100%, should appear
green bagel. If he appeared, click on the cross. If this does not happen, then something has been done wrong.
6. Ready files for FlashTool and make CWM
If everything went without errors, then
disconnect phone from PC.
Turn it on , after turning on the phone, start the MTK Droid Root & Tools program. After the phone turns on and the program is running, we connect the phone to the PC. In the program tab
root, backup, recovery push the button
Create backup from ROM flash and select the ROM_0 file saved in point 6. The block building process for FlashTool begins. We remember the name of the folder where the backup of the firmware is copied. Upon successful unpacking of boot, a patched boot will be created and it will be offered to create a CWM file -
agree to create.
7. Flashing CWM to the phone
Closing MTK Droid Root & Tools.
Disconnect phone from PC and
turn off . Run FlashTool, select
scatter file in created in
6 paragraph folder.
In the program window, remove the daws from all the blocks! Double-click on RECOVERY and select the CWM file in the same folder that was created in
6 paragraph (the file will be called like AMOI-N828_130317__recovery_130425-031619.img). We make sure that the jackdaw is only on point
RECOVERY and push
Download connect
off phone to PC and look forward to the end of the process.
In no case, at this step, instead of Download, do not use the Firmware Upgrade button! If everything is done correctly, a green bagel should appear. If it appears, click on the cross and disconnect the phone from the PC.
8. Install ROOT and GAPPS
To install root and gapps, we need two files from the header about the firmware of our phone:
1. SuperSU_1.25_Pro.zip
2. gapps-jb-4.2.1-20121129-signed.zip
Attention, after their installation, all user data, as well as installed programs will be erased. So take care of backing them up well in advance. It is better to remove the SIM card from the phone.
1. First you need to copy the specified files to the root of the flash card. Attention to copy files as they are.No need to unzip them!
2. After copying the files, turn off the phone, remove the sim card (s) and insert the card into the phone.
3. Next, hold down the volume + key and the power button at the same time until the phone screen turns on. As soon as the screen turns on they can be released. So, we are in the CWM menu. To navigate the menu, use the volume + and volume keys - to move up and down, respectively, the power button to confirm the selection.
4. You must select the install zip from sdcard item, in the menu that appears, select chooze zip from sdcard, then select the SuperSU_1.25_Pro.zip file, after selecting the system will prompt you to confirm the selection - go among the many NO items to Yes and confirm. We are waiting for a message about a successful installation.
5. Similarly, we do with the gapps-jb-4.2.1-20121129-signed.zip file.
6. After that, select +++++ Go Back +++++ until we exit to the main menu.
7. Here we select the wipe data / factory reset item. Cleared phone cache and reset to factory settings.
8. After that, select the Reboot system.
9. All your phone has been upgraded! If everything is done correctly, you will have root and gapps.
