Good to know
Sometimes, after flashing the router, it may be unavailable for configuration (i.e., an error occurs when trying to log in to 192.168.0.1). Before any dancing with a tambourine, try to update the IP address of your computer. For example, on Windows, use the commands
ipconfig / release
ipconfig / renew
those. keyreleasewe release rather keyrenewupdate the IPv4 address for the specified adapter.

Information on "Night" firmware
Firmware:
Q:"What is night firmware?".
A:The formula is simple: Last release + current cumulative edits for known issues.

Q:"How is the nightie different from the release?"
A:It is necessary to understand that this is a “draft”. When a new “nightie” is being made, something is fixed or optimized in it, but this firmware (unlike the release version) did not pass the entire set of tests for internal and external compatibility. Drafts, on the other hand, are also correct. Yes, the risk of running into a glitch is higher, but "baubles and fiches" in "nightie" appear much earlier than in releases.
What to use - you choose.

Q:"Where can I get the current nightie?"
A:In the Telegram there is a bot@dlink_rubotdistributing "night" firmware on most current models.

Even if the bot does not distribute the firmware specifically for your model / revision, on the Telegram channelD-Link_RUThere will surely be people who can help you with your question.

I want to buy this device for my house, but I can’t decide on which revision is better to choose either dir-620 / D or DIR-620 / S / C1. Which is better, newer and more stable, they say that the DIR-620 / D1 is very hot. And this model (DIR-620 / S / C1) with the new processor and along the way the newest? Advise the best of these models.

Good day! I have a D-link DIR-620 router, before it was connected to the computer with a wire, and behind the wall was a TV with built-in WiFi, the connection was stable, but after repair, the router moved to another room (approximate distance 7-10m) and to consumers the signal WiFi has to go through 3 reinforced concrete walls. But it turns out that the signal does not reach. So, I’ve got the following question: can the firmware (native D-link or ZyXEL Keenetic) achieve the result? At work there is a DIR-300 and WiFi catches 20 meters from the router. Therefore, I bought the DIR-620 for my home.

Well, everything should work on the Rusink OpenWRT firmware for the DIR-620-A1:
openwrt-ramips-rt305x-dir-620-a1-squashfs-sysupgrade_4G_uqmi-Rusink-logo

If it's not difficult, please tell me, I installed this firmware, I figured out everything regarding the modem, but there is a problem. Everything is distributed fine, but wi-fi ... clients cannot connect, Windows writes it is impossible to connect to the client, android simply connects and disconnects . The YOTA WLTUBA 107 modem, dir-620a1 router, can tell you what the problem may be. Thank you in advance...

No, I didn’t, I fixed on 1.3.3, the modem’s menu started to work smartly and tuned everything at once .. But IPTV glitches started, got into the modem and PPC, I can’t configure it ... it doesn’t catch wi-fi ..

Firmware 1.4.0

Xykep1 @ 07.29.2013, 18:42*
flashed on 1.3.3

So what firmware is it worth?
IMHO should be flashed to 1.4.0, downloading it again, and after that make a reset to the factory settings.

It was 1.4, set 1.3.3, is not configured, set 1.4.0 right now .0 the globe is green, started saving and reloading and again the globe is orange ((I think I’ve done everything right, I am installing the cable. I don’t know how to switch from firmware to firmware .. .Can be gradually necessary. Do you have all the firmware? And that means bin. And so on

Help

Taken from the D-Link forum:
"When flashing it sometimes happens that the router dies (power off or for some other reason)
Here, for example, if on my DI-707P, when turned on, press and hold the button for 10 seconds, it dies, more than one standard recovery method does not help.
It helps here, the information found on some other forum, slightly edited:
It describes an alternative method of restoring a router using the example of the DI-707p, but is suitable for many routers, including other companies.
Cooking:
1) Turn off the power of the device, poke out all the wires from the router.
2) (First skip this item, if the router does not come to life without it, then repeat everything again, but with this item) Press the RESET button and hold it for 10 seconds to turn on the device (diodes M1 and M2 will flash very quickly)
3) Turn on the router.
4) Take a network cable (twisted pair), connect one tail to any of the device's LAN ports, the other to the network adapter of your PC
5) In Windows, for TCP / IP protocol, assign the address 192.168.0.2 with the network mask 255.255.255.0 to the adapter (if the router had the address 192.168.0.1)
6) Run cmd.exe (command line)
7) Verify that there is a connection with the device by running the command:

ping 192.168.0.1
There should be something like:

Pinging 192.168.0.1 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes = 32 time = 2ms TTL = 100

Ping statistics for 192.168.0.1:
Packets: Sent = 1, Received = 1, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 2ms, Maximum = 2ms, Average = 2ms
Control-C
^ C
Hit Control-C when you're tired.
Pay attention to TTL = 100 - this is the built-in bootloader.

8) Restoring the firmware (firmware. BIN — needs to be replaced with the name of the file with the firmware) (copy the firmware to the folder, the path to which is specified in the command line) (we drive into the command line):

tftp -i 192.168.0.1 put firmware. BIN
(.BIN, this ending should be changed to the one you have in the name of the firmware, since for different models of routers, this ending is different)
We are waiting for a few seconds, an inscription of the type falls out:

Transfer successful: 3706880 bytes in 7 seconds, 529554 bytes / s
9) We are waiting for at least 10 minutes until the firmware is programmed.
Turn off, turn on the power.

if the router is alive, we are glad that the service will not have to drag him)))

Note: For Windows Vista PC owners: the craftsmen in Microsoft were again surprised: the tftp client (exactly like telnet) may be missing during the initial installation. You need to install it by visiting the Control Panel and selecting "Programs and ...". "

Hello, tell me if you can make friends with the Alcatel one touch X500E modem. The network sees (the indicator blinks green) but does not connect. It writes “initialization” in the web-face and the device is not detected. : thank_you:

Hello, tell me, is there a possibility in YUSB to connect a modem and an external screw at the same time, with the help of an active YUSB hub (as a guarantee that there is enough power)? Or is it enough that the external screw has third-party power and any hub will work?

There is a problem. It was firmware 1.3.3, everything was just great and stable, there were no problems, and it worked as it should. And then I decided to put on a newer firmware, on 1.4.0. Now the router ceases to distribute the network 3-4 times a day. Until you reboot, it will not work. Decided that crooked rose. I tried again, nothing has changed. I wanted to put 1.3.3 back, and said, they say, there is a newer version.
How to flash back to 1.3.3? Or how to make him not fall?

How to flash back to 1.3.3? Or how to make him not fall?

ask it in Kenetik and do not worry, and it works stably and the interface is much more convenient. all instructions herehttp://www.deadc0de.ru/uboot.html.to roll back to 1.2.102 sew first the file with the extension bin then twz and voila you now have Zuhel-Kenetik. Well, or if you want exactly 1.3.3, then just sew the file with the bin extension and then 1.3.3. It will not allow you to lower the firmware above 1.2.102 in the twz format.Attached filedir-620_keenetic.rar(7.63 MB)
Good luck. I stitched my own on the second day after the purchase. I attached the files.
