Settings

Settings that should always be enabled for a comfortable game:
Hardware transform - better to include. Increases FPS, gives a smooth image, the number of games launched is growing.
Vertex cache - increases productivity, include always.
JIT and Fastmem - give a huge increase in speed. Always include. There are games that run only when jit is disabled, but the FPS in them will be low.
Linear filtering - visually smoothes the picture, reduces performance slightly, does not affect the launch of games.

Settings that may affect the launch of games and the number of FPS (For each game there may be their own, there is no standard):
Sound emulation - sound emulation. At the moment, it emulates not all sounds, and even if it emulates, then with stuttering and other joys. Turning off gives a good frame rate.
Buffered rendering - can both increase FPS and lower. When you turn off the picture becomes smooth, but some of the games may not run. When enabled, "squares" appear, but additional visual effects may appear.
2x Render Resolution - the essence is the same as in Buffered delivery, but the image becomes the same as when the buffer is turned off + effects. FPS drops significantly.
Draw using VBO - in theory there should be a growth of personnel, but in practice this happens very rarely.
Use media engine - allows you to play some videos, at least trying to do it. Some games do not start without it. The speed does not affect.
Frameskip - increases FPS by dropping frames, but the picture may be jerky.

Settings that do not give a huge increase in FPS or do not affect the game at all. Everyone chooses what he likes:
On-screen Touch controls - when turned on, the on-screen joystick appears =)
Large controls - increases the size of the buttons, Mast for tablets.
Show analog stick - adds analog stick (round tape)
Tilt to analog - activates the accelerometer.
Scretch to display - fits the image to the format (size) of the screen. The speed does not affect.
Show FPS - shows the number of VPS - frames per second. More is better.

For developers:
Developer Menu - inside 1 point - CPU test (processor)
Show debug statistic - shows the statistics (log) of the entire state of the emulator and the emulation itself.
