Description
With EDS (Encrypted Data Store), you can store files in an encrypted container to prevent unauthorized access to them.
TrueCrypt (R) containers are supported.
The program can work in two modes: in normal mode and in mount mode.
In normal mode does not work "encryption on the fly." That is, in order to open a file in a third-party application, the file must be decrypted and recorded in the device’s memory.
(except for some audio and video formats). To work in normal mode, the container must have a FAT file system installed.
In mount mode, "on-the-fly encryption" works. You can open files in third-party applications directly from the container. This mode works only on devices with root access.
Also, the device core must support fuse or the appropriate eds kernel module must be available. In this mode, the following file systems can be used in the container: FAT, EXT4, EXT3, EXT2, NTFS.
