Guide byAndroid 6.0 "Marshmallow"

FORGOOGLE NEXUS4

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Be sure to read

About SuperSU:
Since recently, the developers gradually began to move from use in Selinux service firmware (Selinux (eng. Security-Enhanced Linux - Linux with improved security) - implementation of a system forced access control, which can work in parallel with the classical electoral access control system. Includes in Standard Linux kernel) "Permissive" mode on "Enforcing" mode. This is mainly due to changes in the kernel and is associated with OS security issues, as well as from a certain kind of functionality on new Nexus devices, among which the work of the Android Pay system, which currently does not support modified devices.

One of the most important changes in connection with the transition to this mode is to limit actions that the user can produce with the system, such as mounting partitions / System and others related in read / write mode.

Fortunately, Chainfire, the creator of SuperSU, developed a special beta version of the superuser, SuperSUv2.6x which allows you to install Supersu bypassing Selinux, without modifying the system partition.

However, the SuperSU additional installation is required not for all firmware, but for the rest (mostly - older assemblies) will be enough SuperSU firmwarev2.56
If the firmware description matches the phrase "converted", it means that you have no additional actions, except for installing the SuperSU application from Play Market, is not required.

The list of such firmware is as follows:
  • Chroma from Zephik.
  • OneOfakind-M from iPromeh
  • TEAM OCTOS OCT-M OTCJKACAZ
  • The Purenexus Project OtBlackBuffalo
  • Screw'd android from brandonabandon
  • Photonaosp from SHAWN5162.
  • Resurrection Remix M from Rodman01
  • Beanstalk from Spezi77
  • Orion OS from Shelbin
  • VRToxin from RODMAN01
  • Bliss rom

(incomplete list)

The remaining firmware requires the installation of SuperSU manually. About the specific version it is better to clarify either in the topic on XDA or the method of trial and error

About Gapps packages:
The most important moment after installing any of the Nexus 4 custom firmware - is the flashing of the GAPPS package containing, depending on the configuration, a set of applications from Google, varying from the most base in the form of the Play Market and Google Play services, to the very complete set, identical Factory Images for Nexus devices from Google

Unfortunately, in view of a very small system partition, on Nexus 4 it becomes impossible to install certain GApps packets, an attempt of which simply leads to an error and failure in the installation. After installing most firmware, Nexus 4 remains approximately 300MB free space in the / SYSTEM section, so it is recommended to either pick up the GApps package that best suits this requirement in the size of the package itself, or by some minimal option from OpenGapps or SlimRoms, leaving only Services Google Play and Play Market, for subsequent installation of the necessary applications yourself

About Multirom:
Tassadaar has released the official Multirom update to version 33, which supports all Android 6.0 firmware, which are compatible with, actually the utility itself.

For this, it is necessary that the core patch is added to the desired firmwarekexec-hardboot or the kernel with the already sewn patch can be flashed independently over the firmware available, provided that it is based on CyanogenMod 13 .

Alternatively, you can flash the custom kernel in which the KEXEC-HardBoot patch is originally available. Among these cores:
  • AK Kernel
  • hells-core
  • Quanta.
  • Taurus
  • Semaphore
  • YayPrime-M.

Installation Instructions - Standard
  1. Download a zip archive with a mod
  2. Download IMG image with modified recovery
  3. (If necessary) Download the ZIP archive with the core patch
  4. Reboot into rekaveri
  5. Install the modified recovery over the existing
  6. sew events
  7. Once again restart the recovery
  8. Once in the main menu, go to [Advanced].
  9. Choose Multirom
  10. Next, make the necessary operations with existing firmware.
  11. When installing firmware as an additional, to the question "Share Kernel with Internal Rom?" (Use the kernel from the main firmware?) Tick the item "Don't Share" (Do not use) if there is a keeper with a kexec-hardboot in its core

Alternatively, for firmware management via Multirom, you can install the official utilityMultiROM Manager(only after installing the modified archive below)

Put according to the instructions Helenos, flight, in everything except GPS, excellent)

Rep: (3)
I put a moisture on my device last night. Schyl with wipes. Some first impressions on the features of the system work on our phone are already there. I will share with you.
Put through the fastbut, the radio and image of the system took from here from the forum, boot.img with fixes for mob. Data and Ruta took from XDA. Gaps from Banzo for 7 number.
Installation instructions are in the subject, skipping.
The first thing that rushes into the eye is the phone turns on noticeably faster than on 5.1.1.
There are practically no visual changes in the system. The font of the clock on Lockskrin has changed and more in trifles.
The main innovation is the resolution of programs. Yes, principle, good. The program asks a concrete permissed at the time of contacting the functionality, and not all together the moment of installation.
Now on Tap works now only with the English language system. It works as stated by a long tap on the home.
The smoothness of robots and speed: as for me, then a little more smoothly and remorse. Pure IMHO and my submitter view.
Antutu constantly fell. Xs, maybe under 6 have not yet adapted.
By RAM - after switching on, 1.2 gigs are free. So it was, in principle, at 5.1.1.
It is too early to judge an acumulator, it is necessary for longer to use, but I did not notice a terrible zhora.
Here they wrote that the phone is very hot. I did not notice this.
All sensors and sensors, bluetures, wifi, Cameras, etc. work. NFS check there is no possibility.
Just GPS is working fine. Not only AGPS works.
If AGPS is not critical to you, the system is suitable for daily use.

I will add to the previous feedback your view on the battery. In active use, the differences are noticeably noticeable, but in the "simply lies" mode finally stopped Zhor, who tormented me on 5.1.

Location Fix
PUSH TO / SYSTEM / FRAMEWORK

WiFi / Network Location Works.
Apps Like Browser and Chrome No Longer Crash.
GPS WORKS.

link

And the explanation why AGPS did not work:
Battery Saver Turns GPS Off ForceFully Even If You Enable It Manual and WiFi / Network Location Wasn't Working.
SO BasiCally Location WAS OFF.

UPD: Brief instruction, how to put:
0. Copy the file to the folder with ABD \ FastBoot
1. AdB root.
2. AdB Remount
3. ADB PUSH Framework-Res.apk / System / Framework

Now everything works. You can use as a series.

But in the mode "Just lies" finally stopped Zhor, who tormented me at 5.1.

Well, the fact is that the dream now takes 91%, in 18 o'clock I was manifested in this way: 70% at 1 o'clock in the morning and at 10 am 70 percent. Regarding the use mode: Better than a lollipop, worse than Kikut, definitely. I do not know what happened in the 5th, but the charge was as quickly at the tablet, it was much longer on the 4-ke. Lowering the frequency to 1350 MHz, usually helps.

On the battery - personally, I have better than CM12.1 (which and did not reach the day), approximately at the level of the stock Lollipopa. Burnt - heats up, but not critical, as soon as he was grainbed. As far as I understand from the DOZE description, the autonomy should have increased during the device's sleep, but it would probably not touch me, for at night there is always a charge on charging, and in the afternoon I often check the news and read messages, so I really do not have time to sleep) )) In general, holds a charge of 3-3.5 hours of screen time.

Is still most killed by a lightning discharge when using 3G, it's just some kind of tin, really nothing can be done, except to use the wise 2g in the age of mering and normal speeds? The most offensive thing is that I have 3G more confident in Yota, and 2G is always falling off. Yesterday the whole day was sitting on 2G + Wi-Fi and norms. Today I was cutting 3G and he did not extend the hours of work of the screen, he fucked for half a day.
