Turn your N9 into a tracker and cycling computer on the basis of GPS
Keep track of your achievements in sport and training process! Do this in real time! With meeTrainer you turn your Nokia N9 into a real sports computer. meeTrainer uses Bluetooth and GPS-receiver you the N9, in order to inform you about all the options in sporting activities that you need, such as the current heart rate, speed and amount we spent calories, as well as the total distance traveled, elapsed time, and more more. meeTrainer has a low power consumption mode based on the features of N9 screen in standby mode, which allows you to always keep everything under control during exercise.

FEATURES

"What is the meeTrainer and contrast (especially SportsTracker)?"
meeTrainer
• It consumes very little battery power during operation, which allows you to track more exercise
• Monitors your exercise: using the monitor window (see below.), Who will always be at a very low brightness for better battery life, allow you to always have information on exercises under the eyes
• Can exercise to keep your data in CSV file that can be easily imported from other applications
• GPS Data filters allow a more accurate measurement of the distance and the information on the average speed
• Avoids in SportsTracker «battery killer" - a pop-up notice "requires an Internet connection," appear every 2 seconds if you do not have an internet connection (which often happens during exercise)
• Chart your workouts: you no longer need to download exercises somewhere to take a look at how you performed!
Current limitations
meeTrainer currently only supports a chest measuring the heart rate Polar Bluetooth HR (the only one I have).
If you are interested in using meeTrainer with other brands of Bluetooth heart rate measuring devices, please contact me: [email protected]

Some remarks: meeTrainer brightness control involves advanced embodiment which is able to reduce the brightness of the display is greater than it would be in normal operation, and thereby save more battery energy. However, due to a bug in the Nokia N9 software, it is not possible to make it easy to disable the automatic adjustment of screen brightness.
Thus, when using advanced brightness control function as soon as the sensor detects a change in the ambient light illuminance, the brightness will be automatically restored.
If you use the phone together with a bandage, it is likely that the bandage will protect the light sensor.
Otherwise, to work around this problem, you can try something like this:

HISTORY meeTrainer

I want to tell you how meeTrainer born, because I find it interesting.
In April 2012, after about 12 years of use my Nokia 6510 (made in Finland, and is still working), I decided that it was time to move onto something more technological. Not because I really had a need for it.
In fact, my sister got a good Android phone last summer, with whom I worked for a long time, eventually with the thought, "Cool. So what? You can not really do a lot of things with him ..".
But in February this year, a friend (by the way, thank you for Tero!) Showed me this cool the N9, which is in fact almost the Linux handheld, it is probably the most beautiful smartphone ever made, he has the most amazing-to-use interface that I kogda ever seen and used on the phone, it makes very good pictures in order, first of all, it is still produced in Finland! (And it's likely to be the last smartphone ever made outside of Asia, at least for a while). So I thought that this is really my last chance and bought one such (actually two, one was stolen).
One of the main things that I always wanted to do, as soon as I will have a smartphone, has been using SportsTracker.
In the past, a lot of doing sports in yunesheskom age enjoyed Polar HR monitor (heart rate monitor), I really enjoyed the monitoring of my training, and being the owner of Nokia N9 phone, I was expecting it a full-featured version of SportsTracker there (if you do not know, SportsTracker is an offshoot of the Nokia) .
But real life is always different from what one imagines. Indeed, SportsTracker version N9 sucks (This is only my opinion. If you tried to use it, you know. If you have not used it, then try and see for yourself).
After several days of frustration, I began to think how to solve this situation and I came to the idea, "Well, maybe I can check if they have SportsTracker vacancy for Qt / MeeGo specialist." They had - one vacancy. So I decided to apply it in the case. I did something with the Qt desktop, I have never engaged in the development of something for smartphones before, I had no idea how the GPS and Bluetooth in general, I had no idea what protocol "talking» Bluetooth HRM heart rate meter.
So I suggested SportsTracker work for free in exchange for some interpretation of course on how to work with that material. They would get their work for free, and I would have received my application SportsTracker profiksinoe for the N9, and learned how to make mobile applications. But hey, they never brought me back.
Thus, the end of the story the next .. I went for it myself, sacrificing their free time from work. All of this turned out to be relatively easy and quick to do (like most things in life, once we overcome the initial fear of the unknown). It was also interesting to learn how to create mobile applications.
Nevertheless, meeTrainer is still much room for improvement and a lot of errors that must be fixed, and my plan is to continue to work on it in their spare time, so it will be even better. As you can see above, there is a list of tasks to improve application.
But I still hope you will like it, and so, and that you will be able to use it effectively for their own purposes, as well as I do it.
And if you have a suggestion or a bug report, please feel free and contact me.
In addition, if you want to support me in the development of this app, you can use the Donate button on this page to donate some money to the project.

Prog excellent (the latest version has not tried though). Rode with her skiing. All that is needed! The battery keeps well (no SIM card, taking into account the temperature difference, my pretty dead Accum survived 3 days of 3-5 hours of recording).
