Main technical characteristics:

All models use a hardware platform:
- TI OMAP 3530 processor (Cortex A8),
- WinCE 6.0 operating system,
- SDRAM 256MB,
- NAND Flash 4GB,
- Trimble 66300-20 GPS receiver,
- screen resolution 800x480 (virtual desktop resolution: 1600x480),
- regular navigation system based on MOZEN KNAVI (for Korean cars),
- update maps: download via USB or DVD.

Installing alternative programs.

The question is still under study, the main problem is that the main disk with applications has write protection. At the moment, it was possible to start from the desktop Navitel 5.0.1 from AVN-100xxCIS, however, the system works in demo mode due to the hard binding to a different disk structure.
Access to the main disk for installing alternative software is solved positively, today the problem is in the GPS receiver. 7The road was made a special version that can open the port, but does not see the satellites - there is a suspicion of the need to switch from the NMEA protocol to the HIPPO protocol.

Specific differences need to look alive on each head. For example, a RB may not have a rear view camera or something else. Or maybe a full functional equivalent only in another external version. For example, the controls (buttons) may differ.

Bindings to the control keys are not here. The key codes are generated through a combination of hardware controller (MICOM) and the control module UComH_new, and the programs that are started already independently implement keystroke processing.

This is what I feared, for the sake of this and gave my head to study. While the answer is this: either the programmer can upload the image to the flash memory chip (most likely, it will have to be soldered), or through JTAG. But both of these options are unacceptable in the domestic environment, the search for a simpler way continues.

Slovak State University is completely different, there is LG production LG on the MIPS platform. But in the States, the State University may be on the same platform, only with slightly different functionality - instead of DMB they will have XM / Sirius, and instead of DVD there may be a CD-ROM. But the basic platform, and accordingly, the basic software of the same type.

At least, this is exactly what was done on the Sorento SX, I’ll not say exactly about the Sportage SL until I came across it. But the instructions in the configs suggest exactly this thought.

If the interaction is done by analogy with the platform AN100, then any file is read only if there is an install.a file in the root of the main disk. Otherwise, the system is stupidly loaded from the main disk, ignoring the presence of media in USB / DVD. Media polling in USB is conducted solely as a presence-absence polling (for example, so that programs can access this media by name and patronymic).

Although I suspect that there must be some mechanism for the forced flashing of the system after its collapse. But nothing more specific than suspicion I do not yet have.
