Installing custom kernels
Kernels are installed through any recovery without dancing with tambourines
Permanent CWM
In devices on Broadcom recovery and, therefore, CWM is in Ramdisk, which in turn is in boot.img. On all other devices, recovery is a separate file, like boot.img. Permanent CWM we can get by installing boot.img (for ordinary users - the kernel) with CWM. At the moment, there are very few such boot.img.
We also have a temporary CWM, which is installed from the stock recovery and works until you restart the recovery (after rebooting, you can again install a temporary CWM from the stock recovery).
Galaxy Y Modifications
All modifications with Galaxy Y are installed on our phone, for this you need to install our kernel (any) and accelerometer fix.
DEODEX and ODEX, what is it and what does it eat
ODEX and DEODEX firmware. What is it?
In official firmware, .odex files are taken out separately in the system / app, which allows you to speed up the loading of the used code, at the same time, it does not change the resources of this application.
deodex (deodexed firmware) - the executable part of the application (.odex) is repacked in the classes.dex file and placed back in the .apk, in this case all parts of the program are in one place, you can edit its resources (pictures, fonts, etc.) without risking getting a non-working application / firmware.
It is very easy to distinguish ODEX firmware from DEODEX.
In / system / app there are files with .odex - ODEX firmware, if not, then DEODEX means.
How to make DEODEX firmware
We start the phone in safe mode
How to start:
Starting to use the device, you may have installed many applications to check them and see what you like and what not. In some cases, you may encounter a bad application that has an error, and this can lead to crashes in the operating system of the phone. If your phone is not working properly you could log in to safe mode and remove the applications causing errors. Here's how:
1. Turn off the phone by pressing the power button.
2. Then turn on the phone again until it turns on, press and hold the menu button.
3. Continue to hold the menu button until the main screen appears. On the main screen you will see the safe mode (safe mode) in the left corner.
4. Now that you are in safe mode, you can go and remove any application errors.
5. When you finish working in safe mode, you can exit it by removing the battery, wait one minute and put it back, load the phone in normal mode, and you will be in standard mode.
How to exit:
When your mobile device is buggy, it can sometimes load itself into safe mode so that you can continue to work with the phone and fix the problem that caused the crash. But, when you've done everything, how can you get out of safe mode? Here's how:
1. Turn off the phone by pressing the power button.
2. Then remove the battery. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Now install the battery back.
4. Turn on the device and make sure that the Safe Mode sign in the left corner disappears. If it is not there, then you have successfully downloaded your phone in normal mode.
Battery calibration
We charge the phone until we get a message about the full charge.
Discharge the phone to zero until it turns off completely. In the settings, put the daws on all three points, in the drop-down "curtain" on the phone, turn on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Gps, Auto-rotate (if 2.2), return to the main application screen and press "ON" - this will turn out to discharge the battery faster. Instead, you can play some relatively demanding 3D games like Nova or NFS Shift)
Repeat step number "one"
Install a terminal emulator or Root explorer (do not disconnect from the charger during this and the next steps)
In the emulator run:
su
rm /data/system/batterystats.bin
or delete through the Root explorer file
/data/system/batterystats.bin
Use on health
