Having come to the android from the PC, it didn’t become worse at all, and even acquired several positive distinctive features. To begin with, the game was ported from a PC after 11 years, the game did not get any worse, and even improved: HD textures appeared for android and the sharpness was increased, TEGRA 3 devices improved the lighting, resolution was not forgotten either, it also became HD, fully translated the game into Russian, including the vociferous voice acting with emotions. Enemies are much more resilient than Max himself, plus they will crush the amount, in turn, Payne will be able to counter them with the use of painkillers and slowing down. Also at the levels, there are a lot of different pokhalak and hiding places, where our ammunition, weapons and painkillers are hidden. Here we will run through endlessly long corridors, travel along bloody paths, recall the murder of a wife and daughter, pay attention to those things that we didn’t pay attention to right away: either in the photo or in the newspaper clippings. In the game we will not only see the full translation of comics (screensavers) in Russian, but also the voice acting, but what surprised me the most was the voice acting with emotions, and even the many voices, and this is the first game on android with such voice acting. Yes, and performed in seven languages: Russian, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Japanese. Based on this game - a masterpiece released a film, it is quite different from the plot of the game, but still conveys meaning.

Total:Yes, this game is a legend. It is still popular, many are nostalgic, some have missed the game for some reason, and some simply did not know. If someone missed the opportunity to go through it, I strongly recommend it. Just ask that you buy this game, because it is not so expensive, considering that this is not a game, but I will not be afraid of this word is a true masterpiece. But then changed to:What a variety of gameplay ...
The Bible says: "neither kill your neighbor," but in the game the opposite: you have to begin with your neighbors, or else they eat you.
We have to play for the uncle, who either has problems with short-term memory, or just a vocabulary like Elochka Oats, for he constantly repeats the same phrases. I decided to start writing this review for one reason only - it became a shame that a great game (in my subjective opinion, one of the best on Android in general) was undeservedly overlooked. However, to say “unfairly” would not be entirely correct. In fact, the developers doomed their offspring with their own hands, if not to failure, then to a rather modest success. And this is especially strange when you consider that the gameplay of the game is thought out to the smallest detail, but at the same time such an important thing as control is implemented very poorly.

The fact is that the game supports two types of tapes on the screen - the usual short ones, and quite rare in games, are long. Anyone runningCall of cthulhu naturally, it will start to make short tapes and with irritation will find that the game simply does not respond to pressing! A little war with control and puzzling over where he should hold his finger a little longer, and where to make a short press, in the end, will carry this cthulhu to all hell.

However, if you show a little patience and get comfortable with the management, the game will not be slow to appear in a much more advantageous light. Let's start with the fact that the plot was created based on the stories of the horror master Howard Philips Lovecraft. World War I. A professor studying occult sciences arrives at the forefront, along with his assistants. He needs to destroy the sinister doctor who animates corpses on the battlefields, creating disgusting monsters out of them. From this moment, a squad of six characters is available to the player. The goal - among the bombed churches and ancient catacombs to fight with the creatures of an insane doctor, sending them to hell with his creator.

Gameplay is a turn-based strategy, but the developers have tried their best so that the battles are not the same. The player will meet many different enemies - chained adherents of dark cults, giant spiders, flying polyps, giant cthulhuids and other cute creatures. Often the tasks that are put before the player, provide for a limited number of moves, which makes the gameplay much more stressful. Each character has its own numberAP (action points)- points that are required to perform any action (shoot, use a first aid kit, use a spell, etc.). At the same time, a shot from a more powerful weapon requires more AR; walking on the sand takes more AP than moving along a paved road. Even by such things one can judge how thoroughly the game is thought out!

You also need to add that in addition to the scale of health of the characters, there is introduced one unusual indicator calledsanity(mental health). It means the amount of horror a character’s mind can endure. If this figure drops to zero, the character goes crazy. You can counteract this with the help of a spellbook. However, the character who uses it must have the skill of psychoanalysis - there is even one here!

After the end of the level, the player receives the earned money and points, and the most interesting begins - the leveling of his team. With money, more or less traditionally - they can buy weapons, armor, first-aid kits, books with spells. Although there are nuances. For example, a machine gun, handed to the one who has developed the skill of firing a pistol, will constantly smear. More powerful armor takes more AR, so that, clad in the character’s armor, you may find that he does not have enough points to make at least one shot!

But all this is minor compared to leveling up the skills of the characters. The skill system in the game can be called magnificent. Each of the characters has basic characteristics such as health, agility, intelligence, strength, power (magic power). In addition, the game has a dozen different skills: martial arts, protection from poison gases, already mentioned psychoanalysis, and even knowledge of the myths of Cthulhu! It is curious that there is no shooting skill, as such. There are skills of owning different types of firearms separately. That is, the skill of shooting from a pistol gives excellent shooting only from a pistol, but not from a rifle, etc.

Due to such a large number of skills and characteristics, the distribution of earned points among all the characters of the team becomes an exciting and responsible task. After all, an incorrectly chosen pumping strategy can make it very difficult to complete the following levels. Successful pumping will strengthen the team so much that it will easily endure the most terrible monsters, and you will definitely want to go through the game again, but at a difficult level (if a normal level of difficulty was initially chosen). And after the passage will only regret that there is not yet an extremely difficult level.

In a word, anyone who likes step-by-step games can be advised to suffer a little from control.Call of cthulhu , then to get great pleasure from the game. But developers would be worth thinking about. This time, the magic name of Lovecraft kept many people from spitting on the game after ten minutes of war with the government. But will there be a similar number next time? The big question.

Ps. The game is not Russified and requires knowledge of the English language. Without English, you can sort things out somehow in the game, but all the myths that accompany the game will be lost.
