Transferring applications to the second section of the memory card. The author and administration of the forum are not responsible for the collision of the devices, you act on your own risk! Extensive material: LG L7 V10C + ROOT + MicroSD Transcend 16GB 4Class.
The method is also checked on the SyanogenMod 10 Nightly5 and Miui V4 Preface: I would like to tell about this method in detail, although there is nothing new in it, it has long been tested on the devices of previous generations with a small amount of memory in particular working under the Android version of versions to 2.2.
The fact is that the android early versions did not have support for the transfer of applications to the memory card, respectively, the user had to be content with what is, often (especially when buying budget models) limiting themselves in the installation of software and large games.
The solution was found quite practical, writing a program for transfer creating a script for mounting the second section of the memory card with the file system
ext2.
It so happened that on the LG L7 under the name SDCard is the directory of the internal memory of the device, which makes the standard transfer of applications asgenuously, so it is on our device and not.
The difference between the described transfer method from the standard
The difference of this method from the standard transfer of the android version of versions after 2.1 is as follows:
1. The applications are transferred to a specially created section with the Linux File System EXT2, and not in the shared FAT section of the Card, which also allows you to transfer with the Dex application and Lib files, freeing more memory.
2. Required root.
3. No support for transfer from the application developer, you can transfer absolutely everything!
4. The full performance of any types of submitted applications, unlike the standard android standard transfer, which does not allow to transfer the desktop widgets, navigators and other programs actively interacting with the system.
Embodiment: Create application transfer to ext2
So we need, a device with root rights, card reader (if you do not have a CWM) and a memory card, a program for transferring applications.
1. Save the memory card data to the PC.
(MUST! All data in the process of creating sections is destroyed) 2. We divide the memory card into two EXT2 and FAT partitions in a convenient way:
Method 1 Who has no CWM-Recovery
Section Create through the Cardrider using the Minitool Partition Wizard Home Edition program on a big brother (read PC!). Link to the program and detailed FAQ read
Friendly forum. The advantage of the method is that you can make yourself an ext2-section of any size.
Method 2 Who has CWM-Recovery
If you have a CWM installed, then reboot to the recovery mode.
Go to sectionadvanced>partition sdcard (The name and placement of items may be varied depending on the version of your CWM).
Choose the size of the application section from the proposed options.
Now the selection creation wizard will propose to choose the size of the SWAP section (if SWAP is unnecessary knocked 0)
Confirm the selection and expect the process completion.
The size of the application is depends on your appetites, for example, I made 2048MB.
3. After creating partitions, copy data back to the memory card.
4. Insert the memory card in the beast and install the Link2SD application with
savagemessiahzine.com or
Googleplay ... This is our working tool to manage applications. The program is so good against the background of the early Apps2SD scripts, which would like to describe its functionality in more detail.
Functional Link2SD.
The program allows you to refer and return applications and their files individually or groups.
Run applications (if the shortcut application menu for some reason is not available).
Reinstall, delete (including system) and freeze programs.
Convert to systemic.
Easy data and cache programs.
View the page of the desired application on GooglePlay.
View the status of all memory partitions, including the appointment transfer.
Include an automatic link of all newly installed programs.
Clean the second section of the memory card and Dalvik-Cache.
5. We run Link2SD, the program will request root rights, provide them with it.
6. The program will request which file system format of the second partition you use, specify it (
in our case EXT2 ) And click OK. If everything went fine, the program will write about the successful creation of the mount script and asks to restart the device, do it.
7. After restarting the device, we start Link2SD again, we see the list of applications, taping on any application you set, in the window that opens, click the Send button.
8. We rejoice, your humble servant checked everything, I am satisfied I hope you will be satisfied and you.
P.S .: Remember about the dangers of extracting the card from the working device, as well as that important for working with the program like Root Explorer, Link2SD, ScriptManager, Terminal Emulator is better to keep in the phone's memory. With the loss of the script performance, all exiled programs will have to be renovated!
Link2SD script is compatible with memory substitution on
stock firmwareand on
Cyanogenmod and Miui. But compatibility with DERICTORIBing must be checked!
In no case delete Link2SD and do not take root rights from it, it is fraught with the loss of exiled programs! Good luck to you in experiments with android OS!
