Description:
The program for off-line viewing dump wikipedia.
The dump can be downloaded from the official site, but at the moment it is outdated there, for June 2010.

A good program, but not updated ...
The Russian base of the jamb is case-sensitive search.
I wrote to the author about this, and it seems like we came to a general consensus ... but it's still there.
I also do not find it convenient to open articles in the browser, it would be better right in the application.

Only there is no alternative ... understand what to persuade the author Dict to do for us to build his new Qt version of the dictionary. But with the new version there are new dictionaries - problems ...

NoIdea,
The first versions never had gui and the list was opened in the browser) since then I've been following the project and yes, it hasn't been updated for a very long time. But it doesn’t cause much experience, because when I found it, there was no unlimited Internet and I was just nostalgic for Dict (vm) and now I have gotten the Internet + mstardict with many dictionaries, which I will also post soon :)

I also have no limit, but the local copy of Wikipedia is not enough. At least it's much faster than waiting for the page to open. Plus, you never know without an Internet, on an airplane, for example. And books are too lazy to read and films are too lazy to watch. It's boring, but at least you can climb on the wiki. For me, the only thing that is missing on n9 after a bucket is the wikidroid. Very nice program.

Dictionaries are dictionaries ... And Wikipedia is Wikipedia. :)

Some features.

• By default, the page opens in the program itself. There is a choice in the settings to use an external browser.
  
• There is no possibility to customize the loading of pictures. In any case, I did not find it. Downloading pictures only works when you open the page in the browser.
  
• Databases are added by editing the file manually.
  To make it work, you need to download the wikipedia dump and edit the file /home/user/.evopediarc, adding there manually something like:
  
  [dump_en]
  data_directory = / home / user / MyDocs / evopedia / wikipedia_en_2010-06-22
  
  Naturally, we change en to ru if necessary and the path to where the dump was sent.
  

Well, a few screenshots:



The first icon at the top manages the selection of a random article. The second (emblem of Wikipedia) is not known for what. I did not understand yet. :)
Something like that, in general.
Total. It works inhibited and crooked, but it works. And this is very good. "I waited for the year jva ..." (c) :)

Has anyone tried to dump the wiki on their own? There is an instruction how to do it:http://dumpathome.evopedia.info/contribute

It seems to put all the packages, but the guys are not working. After scripts / dumpathome.sh writes Error starting mysql server. Although it is running.
