BioShockon PS Vita was announced prior to development
In June 2011, the head of Irrational Games, Ken Levine (Ken Levine), took the stage during the performance at the Sony E3 conference and announced that his studio will release the game in a series of BioShock on PlayStation Vita. The interest of the announcement was the fact that at that time the development of the project has not yet started, but Ken just wanted to support the future launch of a new device.
In most cases, such as during the announcement of BioShock Infinite for fixed platforms, Irrational Games show some existing solutions. In the case of PS Vita it was important to demonstrate the interest and support of third-party developers. That's what Ken did.
SCE is a very good partner for us. Not only on a professional level, but also at personal contact, we are favorable relationship. That's why Sony approached us with a request to support. Of course, our announcement - this is not an empty promise. BioShock really will be released on PS Vita, even if we announced it a little bit earlier than usual.
However, Ken Levine calls for patience all the players who want to learn more information about the progress of the project. As soon as Irrational Games will be the necessary material that can make public disclosure, the representatives of the studio is required to do so.
