Upgrade all WP7 devices through Zune

This topic discusses issues related to the official update of devices through the Zune, as well as everything related to the update.
The current version of the update sent by Microsoft -7.10.8773.98. If a question arises, we indicate the model of the device.

Attention! Currently, HTC is sending an update that boosts your phone's bootloader to version 5.xx. After installing it, roll back to an earlier version.very problematic. Making HSPL on this version is impossible now and is unlikely to ever be possible. The probability of killing your machine is 100%. Therefore, if in the future it is planned to unlock or install custom firmware, it is not recommended to install this update.

Update via Zune. What to do if Zune does not find updates above 7008:
This problem is due to the fact that Microsoft does not send updates to everyone at once, but in turn, which is based on information about the region and the operator of your phone.
So, in order to upgrade now, regardless of your regional parameters, do the following:

1. We leave on the phone enabled data transfer, 3G, Wi-Fi, etc;
2. Connect the phone to the PC;
3. Go to the zune, the parameters - the phone;
4. Press the "Update" button, and then approximately for the second second we pull out the network cable from the PC. Zune should find a new update;
5. We plug the network cable only when the update has already been found;
6. We are waiting for 10 seconds until the connection is resumed;
7. Click the "Update" button in Zune.
We perform this procedure at each step.
If Zune does not find an update, then pulled the cord too late, try again, reducing the time.
If Zune displays an error, the cord is pulled out early. Based on this - experiment, in search of the desired period of time.

For the Russian language to appear in mango, one must do one of the following before updating:

There are two files in the archive. You need to use one of them, at your discretion.
The first file is a finished xap, after installing which you just need to launch the already installed HTC-ProvXml-Deploy and press the green button at the bottom of the screen. The second file is Custclear.provxml with the necessary registry values ​​for manual installation. You need to copy it to the Windows folder, then run the pre-installedconnection setupand click on the check mark at the bottom of the screen.
3. If you have already updated to Mango, and forgot to make registry manipulations (ATTENTION: only for 7720, 7740 and 8107):
Download archivesRussian_Lang_Packs.rarandRussian_Lang_Pack_8107.rar, unpack and install on the phone usingWP7_Update_Cab_Sender.zip. To do this, place the file CBE061E8-4BF2-4049-A2FC-5C216D50ADA0_100.cab from the first archive into the folder with the WP7 Update Cab Sender.bat file from the second archive, then run the last one and press "S".

What we get in the end:
1. The official final Mango 8107;

1. Install any official firmware, older than NoDo, better than 7004. After installation, immediately enter the Live ID;

3. InstallTouchXplorer.xap;

5. Using TouchXplorer, copy the CustClear.provxml file from the "My Documents \ My Ringtones" folder to the "Windows" folder, launch Connection Setup, which was originally present in the firmware, click the checkbox and again, already with the replacement, copy the CustClear.provxml file from folders "My Documents \ My Ringtones in the folder" Windows ";
