I don’t know how to harmattan (e), but on n900 - it loads images for a very long time, scrolls through, previews are also created very slowly.
to the standard gallery does not reach, but I hope that you will develop it further)

Yes on harmattane all is cool. However, everything is fine with me on the N900 too. And according to reviews from people, brakes were observed in versions under 1.2.2.

The speed of the standard gallery is due to the fact that it is "licked" for a particular iron and OS.

The only way to accelerate, which I see, is to make a button on which pre-preparation will occur: folders will be scanned and miniatures will be enlarged.

This is not a folder gallery problem.

You will not believe it, but for most people it happens like this: I jabbed - it was established, another tkul - it started.
The application is distributed by gpl. By version 1.7 this will not change.

+ Make it better to wait half a minute when you first start the application to scan pictures.
+ Instead of two seconds looking at a blurred preview when opening a photo - make a darkening + animation (like on symbian anna / harmattan) (such garbage is in the center of the screen there) (it would be the most mine).

On the "clean" N900 there is a bug. I have not found a mistake yet.
