The unofficial mirror of the lying tablets-dev.nokia.com:http://skeiron.org/tablets-dev/- there is both a flasher and firmware (like except the latest)
The latest firmware is here:http://meegos.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?id=676

The latest version of vanilla is RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM
Download firmware, "vanilla", and the Maemo Flasher-3.5 itself can here ! : yes:

- download the image of "vanilla" (as of this monent, the last official version is RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin)
- install flasher-3.5
- dump the files of the firmware and "vanilla" into the folder of the flasher (by default c: Program Filesmaemoflasher-3.5)
- we charge the battery FULLY
- turn off apparatus
- run the command line on the computer and change the directory
cd c: Program Filesmaemoflasher-3.5

- connect the cable tooff N900, push the keyboard, hold down the U key and connect the cable to the computer
- in the command line execute the command
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f

(note, the file name in the command must match the name of the firmware file)
- the process of reinstalling the firmware will begin.
- after completion we repeat the procedure, but with the command
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R

(note, the name of the file in the command must match the name of the file "vanilla")
- the process of reinstalling the internal memory image will begin
-> this process will return the memory of the device to its original state, all user content will be deleted. (take care of backups)

Upon completion, disconnect the cable and turn on the device - that's it.
!!!Stitch the image of "vanilla"for firmware upgradenot necessary. BUT! Flashing the "vanilla" (analogy format) separately from the firmware is not worth it.

Comrades users! None of you tried to install a fresher kernel on the Maemo stock than the official one? On my N900 in dualboot, Postmarket OS aka Alpine Linux with the 4.13 kernel hangs on the microsd, that is, the node starts up and works with the mainline kernel. I would like to use a kernel of at least 4.4 in Maemo, but the porting from postmarket is complicated by the fact that they use a tricky way to download dtb, which I have not yet tasted. I ask for your help.

Rep: (37)
* dimadimasya, But did they build the 4.13 core themselves? Here here It seems like the last 4.12 with a working bluetooth driver. As for maemo, to crank this up you need to reassemble many components of the system. Plus, most likely the GSM module with a microphone and GPS will remain inoperative. About PowerVR SGX530 and DSP, we also forget they are closed. Ofono of course can give the Internet an unlock but no more.

I remember someone attempting to transfer a mayk on the rails of the 3rd core, but there everything rested on a watchdog, and then it was decided but the Xs always fell because you need to rebuild hildon ...

Rep: (0)
* amigo157 assembled the kernel along with userland according to https: //wiki.postmarke...okia-rx51_ (Nokia_N900) . As a result, I got a pretty good working distr, though without Bluetooth, a camera and calls. GPS and mobile data, as I recall, wound up. True, in Postmarket \ Alpine I am confused by some decisions, such as musl instead of libc, as well as Wayland instead of X. Yes, and XFCE, even after minor installation difficulties, is still more sharpened for the desktop, unlike the finger-oriented Hildon: happy:
That is, even in the case of a successful kernel port other than the last firmware port, Maemo simply will not start? I’m not even so confused by the lack of GSM \ GPS \ AES \ Bluetooth acceleration, because for the most part I use the N900 as a mobile terminal for SSH and spend most of it in the console. But to assemble any fresh software for Maemo is already problematic, because gnueabi in current distros requires a core of the final device of at least three.

Rep: (37)
* dimadimasya, if you managed to get GPS this is a big step) although I forgot to mention about A-GPS) but I wrote about Ofono. Bluetooth also had to get the driver already there. As for the camera, they are sawing.

As for maemo, I don’t want to mislead you, but it seems to me that if everything were more or less successful, the kernel would have been laid out long ago because there are a lot of puzzlers like you and me) but comrade Pali on elinux recently began to add specific patches regarding maemo. Theoretically, you can try to build the kernel, install maemo on the card, configure the loading of the kernel and modules via u-boot and see what happens) And sohere interesting topic regarding hildon

Rep: (0)
* amigo157 Of course, it’s worth recognizing, IMHO, that in 2017 \ 18 it’s not productive to cut under Maemo \ Hildon, because the products are essentially on the shoulders of a small group of enthusiasts, and even in a narrow area like picking the N900, pay attention to porting something mainstream - like Debian: happy:
I would like to ask you - Have you tried to emulate the N900 hardware in QEMU? I’m afraid that my device will not endure the daily torment, because if I do not break the userland and reflash the device at least once a day, the day has passed in vain, and as you know, USB in this model is not the most reliable place, like a flash-memory resource)

Rep: (37)
* dimadimasya, Well, as if I hadn’t reached this point yet) I’m seriously thinking about installing the SDK for maemo 5 and picking something up) of course I also wanted to hook diablo with Harmattan (he is of course in the forefront) ... The absence of the VK client is depressing, and the dying titanium is no longer a cake ...

hello guys!
tell me, maybe there is somewhere a short manual on n900 but universal? Well, something like a detailed FAQ ...
I got here by accident this phone that I can say dreamed of when he just got out, and then somehow everything was forgotten .. and now after 7 years he came across to me, well, I won’t take it))
and here are burning questions -
what firmware to install? and does it make sense to pull it at all, I now have the firmware version 21.2011.38-1.002
when trying to install software through the dispatcher, for example, it writes to me that some repositories are dead. well, no wonder, for so many years, after all .. are there any mirrors from any of the enthusiasts?
when the headphones are connected, I hear a rumble with a frequency of about 50 hertz, while music is also heard through this rumble. the rumble is very strong, at half volume. Is it some kind of hardware jamb or maybe it’s the case with headphones with a 4-pin plug?
here, everything seems to be for now ..)

Are there any live enthusiasts?
I got a saber animal, put SSU Testing, try to switch to Thumb, but it doesn’t give it, it says: I can’t download community-ssu-enabler, there is no package. Although the package costs and works.

I racked my brains for a long time with libgles1-sgx-img, could not install .. I found the mirrors of the repositories, I installed muarf_all.install, all of a sudden who needs it.

Click, plz, where to smoke this very current info. Nokiev repositories Firmware updates naturally do not work, are there any relevant reps for updates by air? Thank you in advance)
