Under what OS did you update?
Are the instructions exactly followed? Did the update program give any errors?

Updated under Win7. 3 hours hung on the step according to the instructions.
when I repeat it, as I understand it, there are no files to update.

1. Strange question. In extreme cases, it would be possible to use the virtual machine as well, and install it with the second axis. Yes, even the included compatibility mode can save (in Win7).
2. Bear in the service center, alas

I also flashed the same from under Win7 (I didn’t see that the current was from under WIN XP) - it hung at the installation stage, I thought pipets, BUT after I started to flash on the second computer with XP everything went fine, but I didn’t turn off the device.

Maybe someone will help ... I flashed the firmware, just one morning when turned on after the screen saver, the book went into reboot. Flash LiveSuit was impossible due to constant reboots. Run LiveSuit.exe, select the firmware image and click SysUpdate, we get in response "hardware not found" to OK, we do not click. We take the book, hold down the back key, press the power button for 3 seconds, release for 3 seconds and then 3 short presses. We connect the book to USB, LiveSuit automatically begins to fill the firmware. Everything! ;) The way to transfer the book to the service is taken from here.Ritmix RBK-450 firmware
For the sake of experiment, I flashed my book with this firmware:http://www1.elonex.com/support/products/eb...b-firmware.shtmWhile there are no special glitches, the only thing is that there is no Russian language in it and control of the G sensor. Impressions will write later.

A new firmware for NEXX NRM-71 "FW_Nexx_NRM-71_V2" dated 07/21/2011 has appeared on the manufacturer's website.
I tried to flash it, got a non-working device, a black screen, I had to return to the previous firmware.
Who else tried the thread, what result?

And now two weeks have passed of daily use of the book with the firmware from Elonex. At once I want to note that in this firmware the volume of the player’s sound is increased, approximately at the volume level of the first GI 5.2.0 firmware. The second thing that pleased this is that the book has never hung up during these two weeks (!), With firmware v.03.31.1 the book could hang 2 to 3 times a day. There was a feeling that the performance increased when playing video in the TS container. With firmware v.03.31.1, when playing TS video video 1280x720 bitrate ~ 3000 Kbps, a significant slowdown in the picture was observed (the MKV container with the same resolution and bitrate is reproduced without problems), with the FW1118a firmware from Elonex, when playing TS, there is only a slight drop in FPS, watch video is quite possible. All other shortcomings FW1118a inherited from v.03.31.1. In general, I recommend everyone to whom the firmware v.03.31.1 took out with its instability and quiet sound of the player to upload FW1118a from Elonex. For Europe, the guys tried.

Guys, the situation is the following, the book finally sits down, when it connects to the network it starts charging, then it gives out "low battery", it turns off, but since Connected to the network, it turns on again, but it does not charge .. and so in a circle. The computer does not see it.
Tell me what you can do. Is it in the firmware, or is the whole book over? thank.

As an option to open the book, force the battery from an external power supply and then watch, perhaps the battery itself has a large internal resistance, or charging controller, or firmware, there are many options. Surely you think no one will say.

Old is what? If GI 5.2.0, then at least I do not have it, the software for flashing the book does not allow backups to be done, I would have merged it before flashing to a new one. v.03.31.1 in Russian.

Yesterday I installed the iconBIT HDB700LED version 11.10.1 firmware on my NRM-71 firmware There are no problems with the installation, but the G-Sensor does not work. The device starts to turn the screen as it wants. You can read only when the screen is turned off.

As it was reflashed under W7, I killed nafig. Reanimated as follows.
Reanimated under XP.
The steps are as follows: I connected to the PC via USB, entered into the manual driver from "Live Suit 105" - "UsbDriver". The device was defined as just a USB port. Then I launched "LiveSuit", chose the installation disc "ePDKv100", clicked "SysUpdate" Reconnected the book !!! Next, the firmware installer itself found it and downloaded the new version. The book came to life again.

When I turn on the book goes into reboot, apparently the problem is similar. I tried to do as you wrote, I did not get it. Please write in more detail when which keys to press, release and what should happen on the screen.

It seems to me that I described the firmware procedure in sufficient detail, nothing should appear on the display, and what does not work?

I realized that you can not flash through Win7.
Can I use Vista?

PS: Also the reader in the reboot leaves after the screen saver.

On Windows 7, you can flash, just install VMLite XP Mode (it will help even those who have reflashed to Windows 7 and killed the book)
