QuickShape
Create the perfect ellipses, arcs, circles, rectangles, triangles and other shapes by painting them and pausing at the end of the stroke.
Cropping and resizing
Expand or cut the canvas from the Actions menu.
clipping masks
Cut layer on another layer to control the visibility of the layer based on the content of the lower layer.
Preview of the gallery
See illustrations in full-screen mode directly from the gallery, as well as canvases to scroll through swipe or touch the screen (works for galleries, stacks and groups of selected files).

Just when you think you've caught them all, there's another update!
Whilst we continue to investigate the freezing issue that some customers are experiencing, here are a few updates and fixes that could not wait.
- When Procreate encountered a GPU error it would crash in order to preserve your data. Now Procreate is clever enough to recover itself from GPU errors.
- Some customers were experiencing corrupted images when exporting. If this was you, next time you open the artwork it will automatically be fixed and ready to export.
- For people on iPad Air 1, iPad mini 2, and iPad mini 3, you can now actually see the Curves adjustment interface. No need to grope in the dark for nodes.
- Time-lapse has been freed from the time loop. It's hard to explain. Timey wimey ... stuff.
- The new Darken mode would not let you cross over to the Dark Side when exporting, but we've brought balance to the Force and you can import and export Darken modes to Photoshop.

A wild patch appeared!
- Invert Layer Masks, fill them, and make them from Selections. Go nuts.
- Give your artwork a gritty reboot with the new Darken blend mode.
- Once you've adjusted your Background Layer color, you can actually return to your Layers afterwards, because the Done button is always there, instead of just when it felt like it.
- We've added a new Tilt Size Compression switch to give you even more shading control. Choose whether the brush compresses based on the angle of your Apple Pencil and direction of stroke.
- Sometimes Transform would not share its tools with you. We taught Transform how to be a team player.
- Now when you ColorDrop you can actually drop color, instead of checking out your latest notifications.
- Updating from Procreate 1 to Procreate 4 went about as well as Back to the Future, but now the timeline has been repaired.
- We figured you should probably be able to see your brush size when you adjust it, no matter how much you zoom your canvas.
- Choosing a blend mode category in Spanish no longer requires dancing the Fandango.
- We've made some drastic improvements to stability, stomping many reported crashes.
- We know some of you are still freezing, and we promise we will not leave you to die like Kate Winslet. We're working around the clock to get to the bottom of this, and we will not rest until we've found a fix.

In honor of Earth Day we bring you a new set of eight stunning "green" hands of the famous illustrator Kyle Webster. All brushes are made by hand. What's new in version 3.0.4
• Selecting brushes and layers with Apple Pencil was pretty difficult but now you can actually tap them.
• Some changes in Procreate 3 meant that performance would get sluggish when you made really, really long strokes. We found this out from a guy who set up a harmonograph that made continuous brush strokes in Procreate. We made it better.
• No one really needs a pencil with an eraser at both ends, so Pencil by FiftyThree now like ... you know ... draws.
• We discovered that if you swiped left on a layer and then tapped in the 1-pixel space between the layers menu and the screen edge in just the right way, the app would freeze. We decided this was not the kind of easter egg you might like, so now it just closes the swipe menu.
What's new in version 2.3.1
iOS 9 is here! Our boss told us to release a bug fix update, but after extensive experiments with flies, beetles, a lot of adhesive tape and one very angry wasp, we decided that was not going to work for us. So while Dave's swellings went down, we fixed all these problems with Procreate instead.
- Swiping between the colour picker and the palette library made Procreate so confused it would stop working. Using small words and big pictures we've taught it the difference, and now it copes much better.
- Sometimes activating Reference Layer would look like it worked, but it really did not. This was very funny but not very useful.
- Under iOS 9, selecting a Wacom device crashed the app. We locked Procreate and Wacom styli in a room and did not let them out until they decided to get along.
- Multiply blend mode and some Adjustments were very broken. They're better now.
- Swatch palettes did not want to go where you put them, now they do what they're told.
- Exporting a PSD file by email will now actually work.
- We fixed an issue where copying a selection while in Transform mode would copy the entire layer instead.
- We also thought it would be great if the video recording setting actually enabled you to turn video recording on or off. Radical, we know.
- Changing your background colour used to also change your selected colour. While this was inclusive and heartwarming, it was not overly practical.
- Using the eyedropper from a stylus button reset your previous colour. Now for the eight of you that use this feature, it will work properly.
- The Adonit SDK really liked putting things in the top left corner of the screen. With great effort, we've coaxed it back to the actual canvas.
- Support for the Hex3 Jaja has been removed, and there was much rejoicing.
