Instructions for replacing system sounds

The procedure for replacing sounds is quite simple, but you need a device / tablet with root rights and custom recovery.
Download any sound set and copy the archive without unpacking it into the deviceвЂ™s memory. Important: remember where this file is located.
Install Root Explorer or another file manager with access to system directories, launch it, go to the foldersystem / media / audio / ui and copy its contents to a safe place. It stores the system sounds of your device. This is in case you want to restore them afterwards.
Turn off the smartphone / tablet - run it in recovery mode. Among the options offered, choose to install the zip archive from a memory card or from the internal memory of the device (depending on where the library with the new sounds is copied).
Find the zip archive downloaded earlier - flash it and restart the device.
To restore, use the file manager: go to the foldersystem / media / audio / ui and copy the previously saved files into it. After copying is complete, make sure that the folder with sounds has permissions rw-r - r-- (0644, the letter D). This is to ensure that any application does not accidentally delete this file.
All system sounds use the .ogg format:
- Dock: sound to dock;
- Undock: disconnect from the docking station;
- Camera_click: camera shutter;
- Plugin: connect to the charger;
- Effect_Tick: tapa sound on the screen;
- Lock: lock the screen;
- Unlock: unlock screen;
- LowBattery: low battery;
- VideoRecord: sound start video;
- Keypress: Keyboard sounds(not recommended) .
The melody for which you want to change the system sound should be in ogg-format (you can convert a melody to the desired format on a computer, for example, with the Free Audio Converter program). In addition, the name of your melody must fully coincide with the name of the corresponding system melody, including the register.
Allow read / write in the system folder, rename your sound, calling it according to the name of the system sound being replaced, you can proceed to direct replacement: just copy your ogg sound to the / system / media / audio / ui directory. For example, to replace the screen lock signal, in the / ui subfolder you need to place the melody Lock.ogg.
Replacing the sound, restart the device.
