Setting up networks, Internet access and network equipment

Rep: (1146)

Useful

I have a dynamic IP, is it possible to make it unchanged?
    You can try to use the services of dynamic DNS; at the same time, the IP will still change, but you can get to the server using its name. There are many such services in the network. In most cases, the basic solution is free.
Is there any big and smart network directory? How to distribute the Internet from the netbook on the tablet?

Where is the statics set and what is there to register?

register 10.0.0.138?

Not. This is a router. Drive this address where the gateway and DNS. It is better to set the computer address outside the DHCP range. For example, 10.0.0.40

I've done everything. Thank you so much everything works. Damn, I already despaired for 2 months, such garbage and nothing worked. Once again many thanks to everyone who helped me

everything is working
Well, actually this is an extreme measure - a crutch. We did not overcome the very reason.

He now has a range of 10.0.0.40-100 in dhcp.* tolsta40k, then it is better to set the statics from the range 10.0.0.2-39.

IMHO, a reservation for poppies should have helped, but because This computer is connected by a wire, then statics is a normal option.

Hello gentlemen. There is a netgear router and dlink access point. , Decided to expand the wi-fi coverage. An internet cable enters the apartment. Because the router is in the back room, I decided to take four wiring for the access point from the cable that connects the Internet. He increased the wires (soldered and insulated) on the other hand, squeezed. Checked device rj45 pair 1-2, 3-6 work. I checked with a multimeter for short and each of the 4 wires for an open. All is well all is whole. But bad luck does not work, the dot on the router rarely flashes the LAN port lamp. You can reach the access point once every other time. The speed is generally not good and constant breaks disappear at the LAN port. What could be? Help

* Gzin , where is the cable from the access point to the router connected?

GziN, where is the cable from the access point to the router connected?

Yes, to the router.

Rep: (590)
* Gzin , i.e., a piece of cable from the provider is used to connect the lan of the router and the lan of the access point?

The router is in the hall. The provider wire goes through the corridor to the hall. So as not to pull the wire from the router through the hall into the corridor. I ripped the provider cable and took 4 free wires. I soldered them and pulled to the access point.

* Gzin Have you tried another port on the router? You wrote that when the cable is disconnected in the router, the port indicator is on.

Tried to include in other port, the lan nevertheless lights up. Zotya on the other end of the point is not connected

* GziN,

Then it’s interesting to see a photo of the twist and jack at the point.

* GziN,
In the photo, twisted pairs are incorrectly divorced. blue 2.3, brown 1.6. although there should be 1.2 3.6

the lan lights up anyway. Zotya on the other end of the point is not connected

somewhere it closes in the cable, and as they wrote, check the location of the pairs in the connector, although even if the cable is not located correctly on one side, the port should not burn on the router.

Wires increased (soldered and insulated)

I did not understand a bit, but what did you solder and insulate? What for?
The main 8-wire wire was uncovered - 4 wires in a WAN router, 4 wires in a LAN router, 4 wires in a LAN router in the place of uncovering the provider wire to the access point and that's all ...: thank_you:
Plugs into the plug in 1,2,3 and 6 sockets in all options
