Universal boot patching instruction using Magisk Manager
Before using the instructions, I strongly recommend that you unlock the bootloader (where it is absolutely necessary), also disable the secure boot. Encryption is disabled if necessary. Be sure to include WI-FI or mobile Internet.
The instruction was tested and made by me for a long time on the basis of a single tablet. Therefore, screenshots are attached from it.
What we need. 1. SP Flash Tool, ADB, ODIN, TWRP or other software to boot firmware.
2. Magisk Manager.
3. Boot from the official firmware, or from the one on which we sit. With custom (unofficial) kernels, as well as firmware based on these kernels, we ask questions to their creators.
4. Light head and straight arms. ;)
Are you ready? Then let's go!
To begin with, we put Magisk Manager (we take from the header) and copy the boot.img file from the PC to the root of our device.
We launch Magisk Manager and click Installation, we confirm in the pop-up window our action.
At this stage, the Manager will offer us three options. We are just interested in the item "patch image (boot.img)."
If Magisk root is not initially installed, then there will be a choice of two in the window:
a) Download the installation ZIP
b) Select and patch the image.
Select our saved boot and the program patches it. At the end, click "close."
The patched boot will be located at /storage/emulated/0/MagiskManager/patched_boot.img.
In newer versions of Magisk Manager, the path will be at /storage/emulated/0/Download/magisk_patched.img. At the end of the procedure, the manager indicates the path where the patched boot will be located.
Copy it to your PC and install via SP Flash Tool, ADB, ODIN or any other program for the boot firmware. Also, you can boot to flash the TWRP using the device.
After the firmware you should have something like my picture
Attention!!! Everything that you do, you do at your own peril and risk and completely voluntarily!
Whatever you start to do, start by creating the BACKUP of your current firmware.
