Lucky for those who have old software, below the date 2017-03-08. With assembly 2018-03-08, I can’t flash any software, even downgrade, but I really wanted to look at the software from SHMA. It would be nice software for the service program.
And then I decided to fill in someone else's dump, but my XTW100 refused to see the flash drive, although earlier I merged the dump with it. And it turned out that the dump from
Qwant46 almost completely coincides with mine, the only difference is in the area where the user's settings are most likely stored.
And then I updated from the flash drive, and did not notice any difference.
The difference in the logo, no more. If you are suddenly interested, drop the file to the root
SHMA_C5_S.HEX .
Along the way, I tested the player for compatibility of audio formats and wired tags. I have a library in FLAC with compression 7 and format 44/16. There are about 2000 songs, and I decided to reorganize the library, and drove several songs in different codecs. The player, of course, did not hear anything about the majority, and if he heard it, a little. Let's say the AAC LC player plays with a bug - the sound is clicked, and it is slightly slowed down. As if decoding lacks an audio buffer, although the codec does not require resources. Definitely a firmware bug. TAK, OPUS, MPC, TTA and other young codecs except for the WV player do not know for sure, but WMA 9.2 Lossless and OGG Vorbis are very even. BUT - WMA 9.2 Lossless does not significantly beat FLAC in file size, because the bitrate / quality is almost the same. The player didn’t go further 9.2 Lossless, and he did not recognize 9.2 Professional in 16/24 bits, and did not recognize WMA 10. But with Vorbis, everything seemed to be fine, spectral analysis and file size showed high quality (480 Kbps 44 / 16), but the codec has its own idea of metadata, because the player is not able to show the cover of the song. Here is such a sadness.
The result - either live with brain audiophilia, simultaneously having a flash drive of more than 64 GB and a library in
FLAC/ APE / ALAC / WV, or have a library in WMA / MP3 at 320 Kbps and just enjoy the music.
